Winter diving in St Pete….WHAT!!!

What a great adventure! Gulfport Dive provided EVERYTHING necessary to make this trip perfect.

The staff was fantastic! They were courteous , knowledgeable and made learning to dive a safe new adventure. I’m looking forward to booking more adventures with them in warmer temperatures- we’re ready!!

I moved from Germany to St Pete and made the open water dive course with my dive buddy. I could make the test in German what was helpful.
We both were in different dive stores and decided to go with Gulfport dive center because we had a good feeling.
We had 2 weekends course. Our equipment was very good and our instructor Gary was awesome. We never had fear or felt stressed. He made it very easy for us to get out after 4 days as certified open water divers.
We are looking forward to make more dive trips with them.

I just picked up my regulators from Tom after a full service! I can tell the quality of the work is top notch, plus the turnaround time was spectacular. Last but not least, the price for a full rebuild was much less than at another local shop. Thanks GDC!

Got my open water cert here and dive instructor Gary was an absolute gem. So calm and helpful, just an great experience! Dive master Cassidy was also incredible to work with and overall so much fun:)

Completed my open water certification with Gulfport Dive Center end of July. Had Tucker, Jackson and Mike as instructors. You know just meeting them they're experienced and educated in scuba diving. Made learning very enjoyable and comfortable. We did our cert dives at Spanish Rocks Reef and out on their boat "Stella Blue" with Captain Jeff & Lee at 2 different open water sites (116ft barg & tug orange). Conditions weren't perfect by any means but very awesome dives for a newbie. Lee helped me underwater get my shell souvenir and pointed out wildlife that we would have missed otherwise. So many sand dollars at spanish rocks was cool to see. Can't wait to get more dives under my belt and absolutely plan to dive with this company again. Still a definite newbie but feel after getting my cert with them I am ready and as qualified as I could be to dive again

These guys were super helpful. They had suggestions on places to dive to find the species I wanted to see and on techniques for my dives. Their gear was affordable and they were knowledgeable. I would definitely use them again if I were back in the area.

Very frustrated. Booked a dive on our free day in town. Told them we’d pay for the full boat if they didn’t get enough divers. Took an Uber out early and sat down for lunch and did the waiver I saw in the email this morning. Then found another email about a refund. Then another email about a cancellation. I called and confirmed yes - cancelled because “not enough divers” but also been getting water in the fuel line. “Sorry, you should’ve gotten a call - we usually try to call the day before,” but no missed calls or messages. So out $50 in Uber rides. Horrible communication. Had we gotten a call yesterday, we could’ve found another dive or gone golfing or something. Now just a wasted day.

Looking forward to see the advancement he makes with this shop.

This is our primary dive shop based on location and hours of operation!

The only issues I had in the past was turn around time on inspection of my equipment. I missed a dive I really wanted to take because I didn’t have my regulator and BC back in time.

I bite through the standard mouth piece so having my own regulator vs renting one is important to me!

He does offer dive charters at this facility. I have no experience with them.
