When my father first moved into the nursing home, it was a good start over a year ago, but it has continuously gone downhill. The Director of nursing Amanda is entirely incompetent and uncaring, as he received the wrong medications, jeopardizing his health and well-being. It was appalling to witness such negligence and lack of attention to the welfare of him and of other residents. And since he has continuously complained about the food not good or cold, wrong orders..and it has never been corrected. And having to wait and wait to get help… then when reaching out to the social worker Scott , he was no help at all and it is known throughout the residence that he doesn’t care and doesn’t want to help them.

Furthermore, the building itself was in a state of disrepair, with cracked walls, leaking ceilings, and a general air of neglect. It was clear that no effort was being made to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for the residents. We were told for over a year that they were going to start remodeling, but nothing has been done except touchup paint.

And the elevators are out of inspection date, over a year. They shake, the doors open close then elevator doesn’t move. Once my father got on the elevator and it dropped about a foot. I complained to the administrator and he said nothing is wrong with the elevator… I said everybody complains about the elevators and wanted to see it get fixed. It wasn’t safe. I asked for a return call on progress of getting it fixed, no return call. I called their headquarters and no return calls there either. The elevator finally broke down, so everyone has to use the freight elevator and all the residents are on the second floor. And that elevator is shaky too…

In conclusion, I would strongly advise against entrusting the care of your loved ones to this abysmal nursing home. The blatant disregard for the residents' health and safety, coupled with the dilapidated state of the building, make it a place to be avoided at all costs. Steer clear if you value the well-being of your family members.

This is a terrible facility that my mother was unfortunate enough to be transferred to from the hospital. It is dirty, smelly and my mother has not received any physical therapy and they have been mean and rude to her. I have been trying to get her out but the director has been intentionally delaying the process and lying about it. Wish I could give it zero stars.

Good place to go when you need respite or rehab. Food is moderate. The care from the staff is excellent. Management staff is top notch.

My name is Denise.I spent 3 months in your care at gulf port rehabilitation center.and I left the 27 of June.. During this long period I was taken care of by very skilled nurses and aids. The nurses in charge of medication were absolutely professional . I became close to many employees and my stay was very pleasant regardless of my serious handicap. I wish that the renovation of the place will start soon, on the first floor. The beautiful park with beautiful trees is taking care of regularly.

Gulfport rehab took my mom in after having a stroke. The only thing they told the truth about is that she would have her own room.. The room was dirty. The staff is good, but they can't take care of everybody. Actually they're amazing.. this place has so many good people working thier. the doctors not sure of, I was there for 15 days in a row, never saw one . However, my mom was uncompliant with her rehab ,they never told me I was there all the time., On of the reason my mom could not participate in here rehab that nobody told me that her ankle was swollen and lag was bruised. ( pix at end).. Easy to check in, but they wou't let you the , Grim Reaper of Rehab. Management doesn't know what the hell they're doing.. they do not know how to steal your money from you. Be careful.

I went into Gulfport rehab with muscle weakness and severe neuropathy. The awesome therapy team got me from wheelchair-bound to walking during my stay there. They were all very knowledgeable, helpful, and Friendly. We had lots of laughs! I not only got great therapy and clinical care but came out with lifelong friends as well. They gave me my life back for which I will forever be grateful! 💕💪
