I was a patient of Hannah Warren for two years for EMDR therapy and counseling services.

Carey Alvord works as a therapist in San Luis Obispo County

1. Carey Alvord recommended a friend of hers Hannah Warren LMFT (Atascadero) for me to see as a therapist. I was initially apprehensive since they were friends that I would not have the same level of confidentiality as I normally would if I saw Hannah Warren as a patient. However, I trusted both Hannah Warren and Carey Alvord. I should not have. Carey and Hannah at a personal event discussed my care without my knowledge or consent. Even Hannah confirming that I was in fact a patient of hers is a violation of my rights as I did not consent to sharing of information with Carey Alvord. I had to promptly discontinue therapy with Hannah Warren and tell her that I felt this was a violation of my trust. I do not feel that was professional of either Carey Alvord Schof or Hannah Warren.
I advise against seeing Hannah Warren as a patient. I did not feel safe under her care.

kat bono is amazing! i haven’t had a better therapist! i’d recommend her any day, all day. she’s like a friend; i almost forgot she was my doctor- because of how comfortable she made me feel- yet she remained professional at all times, so it didn’t feel sketchy. i knew she knew what she was talking about(LOL)... hopefully i will get my insurance back asap so i can go back to see Kat again. 🙌🏻
