I had the pleasure of working as a wedding coordinator for a beautiful wedding at Havana Springs, and I cannot recommend this venue enough! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely seamless and enjoyable. The venue itself is stunning, with picturesque backdrops and an elegant charm that makes it perfect for any wedding or special event.

Jose and the team were incredible to work with—attentive, professional, and always one step ahead. They truly anticipate the needs of their clients and go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly. Their dedication and attention to detail made the entire process stress-free for everyone involved.

We had the absolute best wedding weekend! Jose and his team were extremely accommodating, even things they weren’t “required” to do, they were willing to help with. We loved being able to host our families and wedding party. We had 37 people total that were able to stay on property and room for more. Our family and friends that stayed on property, loved the coffee shop on site on wedding day. This venue is truly all inclusive and we didn’t have to leave or worry about anything. There are so many great attributes this property has including a STUNNING reception space, beautiful grounds, accommodating staff, the list goes on and on. We recommend this venue to anyone, no matter your style or vision, they can make it happen!

Our sons wedding was beyond amazing! Havana Springs is the most gorgeous spot to get married! We had our rehearsal dinner outside, and it was magical! Having the accommodations on site for the wedding party, made everything so much easier. We did not have to leave the place and were there when needed for any of the pre-wedding needs. The bridal suite was a perfect spot to get ready for the big day and the groomsmen loved the grooms quarters to watch the game and play some poker! The staff was terrific, and were always there willing to help in anyway possible! Always made themselves available for our needs!! Highly recommend!

In December 2024, we had our wedding weekend at Havana Springs. The property itself is beautiful. We fell in love with it a year before our wedding and knew this is where we wanted to have our special day.
The planning process could have gone a lot smoother. The communication with their team members would take weeks at a time which made it difficult for my wedding planner to nail down the details regarding set-up, decor, timelines etc.
Our wedding weekend was pretty chilly for FL. Originally we were told there would be a fire pit and heaters upon request. Once arriving to the property, the fire pit was gone and there was one heater for the reception space. Due to the fact the buildings are older, we understand it is not an easy task for them to stay consistently heated, however, the biggest let down was the heater in the grooms suite. We informed Jose of this issue Friday afternoon before guests arrived for the rehearsal dinner. We were told it would be looked at and fixed, however, no one came to assess the situation and the grooms suite was very cold the whole night on Friday. Saturday morning, the groom was unable to spend any time in the grooms suite due to the heat never being fixed, and the temperature being 50 degrees inside, which was a disappointment.
The room situation sounded very convenient when we were able to fit our closest friends and family on the property with us. We wanted to choose the placement of the rooms to ensure everyone was comfortable and had enough space. The venue allowed a few guests (who were not supposed to stay the night) to book a room, without talking to the bride and groom, which we thought was pretty weird… since we had paid for the whole property and all the rooms for the whole weekend.
Also, some of the room information was incorrect on the website. For example, one of the rooms attached to the grooms suite did not disclose that the only beds in this room were bunk beds… if we would have known this, we would not have put our elderly grandma in this room. This made it stressful once we got to the property to try and switch the rooms around. One of the newer cottages lost hot water on Friday. We called and someone came to assess the situation in a timely manner, however, it was unable to be fixed that weekend so the guests in those cottages had to shower etc. elsewhere. There was also no hot water in the bridal suite the whole weekend.
Closer to the time of the wedding, we were informed the newer placed cottages on the property would not be included in the Champion Oak package we already paid for, so we had to pay more money for these last minute.
The catering was another disappointment. Weeks before the wedding, we were informed by the PREVIOUS caterer that they are no longer associated with the venue, and that there is a new caterer. This was very frustrating due to the fact Jose did not inform us of this, and we had to hear it from a third party. The new caterer was great at communication from that point on, but we were not very happy with the food.
The timeline for dinner was given to the whole Havana springs staff, however, the dinner was still 1 hour late, which made us lose reception time since quiet hours started at 10pm. The caterer told my wedding planner and I the price of the catering and we thought it was fair. However, the caterer said we pay Jose for the catering. When talking to Jose, he charged us $500 + more dollars for the catering due to the fact he has to “pay the man”, meaning he had to pay taxes. We should have been told the FINAL price from the get go.
A tip for the bride and groom, if they ask you if you want to do a cash bar for the final hour (this is because we had a cocktail hour) please say no! The cash bar tab for 1 hour at the end of the night was INSANE and upsetting. We understand we said we wanted the cash bar for the last hour, however the bar tender was ringing everything up as “top shelf” which made our tab astronomically high.
Positives: rooms were clean, nicely decorated, and venue is beautiful.

I rented Havana 1908 for my nieces baby shower. It was a perfect venue.

The venue had plenty of room and charm. The old exposed brick is what I fell in love with.

They offer tables, linens and chairs as well. It great to have 1 place where you can have everything at your fingertips.

I would recommend this place no matter how large or small your event is.

Vania was incredibly kind and communicative! The venue is beautiful, versatile, and affordable, and just far enough out of central Tallahassee for it not to feel like a trek. My sorority sisters really enjoyed the facilities!
