Joy has made me feel like I have someone in *my* corner, showing me the tools that I can utilize for new and old challenges. Telehealth visits have been crucial for my busy life. I can take a visit anywhere, all she asks of me is that I show up and give my personal best. She is flexible and understanding if you need to reschedule, because life happens. She is always committed to your healing and what's best for your life, even through growth and change.

Susan is very present and invested in the well-being of her clients. Her passion for mental wellness and what she does is truly remarkable! She has been my therapist for almost 2 decades and I can’t imagine what my life would of been like without her! She holds me accountable for the goals that we set together and she never hesitates to call me out on my bs! I don’t know about anyone else but there has been many times that I didn’t see that my actions (or reactions) were self-sabotaging and because of her I am able to check myself before acting out. I always feel heard and although she usually doesn’t agree with how I feel when I leave her whether I feel differently or still feel the same after talking it out I never feel judged and always leave feeling understood. When I first started seeing her one of my biggest issues was that I personalized everything which was extremely stressful and taxing on my mental health but because of her I finally understand that it’s not all about me (can you believe it?lol). How people treat you has more to do with who they are than it does with you and because of this invaluable lesson instead of getting my feelings hurt, getting offended by other peoples actions and reacting in a unflattering way I’m able to check myself by realizing that it is indeed not about me! Realizing this has eliminated a lot of hurt, anger & frustration which has enabled me to show more grace and encouraged me to continuously work on being a better person. I’m sure that sometimes during our sessions that she felt like she was talking to the wall and that I was never going to get it but I thank God everyday that she always seen my potential and never gave up on me! She was not my first therapist but she will definitely be my last!

I actually recommend this if you need healing or just someone to talk to. Mrs.Joy is an amazing person that make time that is very adjustable for her and you! She is a great listener and helps me get through a lot. It’s very free too.
