I've trusted Heidi for the past few years. She's shown me concern and empathy but mostly helped me find my way. She makes suggestions and we talk over alternatives to different situations. She helps me think about direction, goals and I feel challenged by her. I always have some "homework" that extends the sessions beyond just "time", it actually helps me be present to life each day. I couldn't have gotten through these last few years without her help!

Heidi is the BEST! She has the perfect mix of being gentle, but giving it to you straight. In my time with Heidi she has given me the tools to trust myself and to take my life back. Like the anonymous professional rating I had a similar experience. She had a rough time in getting my insurance paid . She called me at 7:15 pm on a Friday night during my family dinner to talk about it ? . I told her I would call her on a Monday I forgot and she called me on a Tuesday . During her conversation she stated “ you have two weeks to get this fixed or it passes two months “ in a very stern way she said it . I asked her if she was somehow threatening me ? She said no at which time I told her she was not a very nice person for talking like that . In the end my insurance did not cover her she was not in network . She had my insurance from the first time we talked she should have known better . It was blue cross blue shield which is Magellan for behavioral health . I ended up paying 500.00 dollars out of pocket . I’m 60 years old . I’m not a rude or vile man . I just asked to be treated the way I treat you . Heidi put finances ahead of decency . Never once did she apologize for the insurance screw up . I’m very surprised one in her position showed no empathy . I hope she ponders this review because it’s the lords honest truth .

I just wanted to say a big thank you to my therapist Mrs.Heidi Gruss for giving me a highly-cherished space to talk/think and work out what I feel about people and events in my life. Mrs. Gruss came into my life when my husband and I had a very stressful time. I really have appreciated my weekly sessions with you and looked forward to them very much.
