This facility is so clean and beautiful. We love the kids club, which is also very affordable for gym childcare. I like the class offerings. Just wish the hours went later, at least on the weekends, and that the kids club also went later, on Fridays and the weekends.

Ohana teen night is great for the teens to hang out at. My sons and nephew enjoy going. $10 for registration and that's it. Eddie is a cool guy and you can tell he enjoys what he does. Great program. The employees at the rec are all kind and helpful.
Update:Took my sons to the sensation craft to make fidget key chains. They had a great time with Rochelle as their teacher. It was easy and all of the kiddos there look like they were enjoying themselves.

Nice woods and trails within 100 yards of the Hillsboro Community Center/ Athletic enter, 2 large Gyms/.multipurpose rooms and meeting spaces, ping pong table, fooseball table on the ground floor

INCONSIDERATE, IRRATIONAL and HYPOCRITICAL

The recent policy changes at Hidden Creek are nothing short of inconsiderate, irrational, and hypocritical. By enforcing drastically early pickleball court closing times—6 PM on Fridays and a shocking 4 PM on weekends—leadership has effectively locked out a significant portion of the community. These restrictions disproportionately harm those who rely on evening access, especially during the colder months when daylight is scarce.

This isn’t just an inconvenience; it’s a direct contradiction to the mission of Hillsboro Parks and Recreation. Rather than fostering community engagement, promoting health, and ensuring accessible public spaces, these policies discourage exercise, limit social opportunities, and exclude working individuals who have no choice but to play later in the day.

How can a facility meant to serve the public justify such restrictive and arbitrary rules?

FANTASTIC facility. Sparse appearance superficially, but very clean and meant for having multiple uses. Various rooms, most have an amazing view of the local trees and manicured lawns. Very green, open, and inviting. Lots of classes available, and premium tier membership includes the SHARC aquatic center.

Brand new building not very warm. I was there for a seminar and they only had straight back chairs with no place to put your writing material on until after lunch. Nice lighting though lots of glass windows.

Recently joined because my husband & I want to get into shape. We didn’t think we could join a gym because of our 1 year old. Thinking we’d have to take turns and the headache of planning all that out. The HCCC has something called “Kids Club” where they will watch our son for up to two hours. (And I doubt I’m ever going to exercise for 2 hours haha). It’s allowed us to put our health as a priority & sets a good example for our son. The staff at Kids Club is amazing! They do not feed or change the children, and will get you if that’s needed, which is fine by me. Just having the option to take a class or lift weights is amazing. I feel so supported (as a young family) by my community. They also have special gymnastics for the little kids that we’ve been going to. I’m just so happy this exists, especially during these times when I’m far away from my family and was feeling strain from a lack of support.
