If you’re in the area, a trip to Homosassa Springs is a must! You can take either a free tram or a $3 boat ride over to the park. The park offers beautiful views of the head springs and the river. They house a variety of animals with some very unique up close views including manatees, bald eagles, red tailed hawks, owls and the worlds oldest hippopotamus, Lu who just turned 65! Such an incredible experience and one you can’t miss.

This wildlife park is a MUST! So much care and thoughtfulness is given to educating the public about wildlife care, rehabilitation and conservation. I was genuinely touched by the stories of all the different animals, and it was such a beautiful, cool place. It’s really one of the best wildlife parks I’ve ever been to. You could feel the love that’s been poured into it over the years and to this day by staff & volunteers. A really special place!

Love visiting here. They are still recovering from hurricane damage. The visitor center and bathrooms and cafe are closed at the fishbowl location. Parking lot was closed when I visited a few weeks ago and the education cento

This is a wonderful place to visit for people of all ages and is very reasonably priced. The tram ride to the park is peaceful and wheelchair accessible. We walked through mostly shaded, paved pathways with benches for anyone that needs or wants to take a break. The staff is helpful and good natured. There are Florida native birds and animals in natural settings. We truly enjoyed ourselves

Enjoy a 20 minute boat ride with lots of history of the area for only $3 with admission. Learn about the injured wildlife & how they are protected.

Enjoyed the walk about. Sad the underwater viewing center was damaged by hurricane. We did not see to many manatees. That is our favorite.

The staff were phenomenal! From checkin to boat captain. It's a beautiful state park full of native animals and even a hippo. The animals are so well-cared-for and active. Fantastic way to spend an afternoon!!

It was hit hard by hurricanes last year so part of it we could not see. They are working to reopen the other parts. What we saw was nice.
