I cannot express enough how transformative my experience at Honey Lake Clinic was, but I will try. Full disclosure, yes, I am a former patient, but I am also now a part of the full-time staff at HLC. That should be a pretty strong statement about how positive my experience was as I have dedicated my life to helping others find healing when going through mental health challenges.

But, back to my review as a patient. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by the entire team which was a very big deal for someone who would have liked to be anywhere but there at that moment. The clinic’s peaceful atmosphere immediately put me at ease, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable throughout my treatment. That word “peaceful” is important, as that is the best description I can come up to describe the HLC campus.

The medical professionals, therapists, pastors, wellness professionals, and staff are exceptional…they truly listen, understand, and cater to your individual needs. I received personalized care that helped me address my mental, spiritual, and emotional health in a holistic way that was extremely restorative. Every session was tailored to help me heal and grow in a safe, encouraging environment.

What stands out the most is the level of compassion and dedication that the entire staff at Honey Lake Clinic shows to every patient. It's not just about treatment—it’s about working with you to meet your individual goals and make you whole. The transformation that I experienced truly saved my life and I am forever grateful.

If you’re looking for a place where you can heal in mind, body, and spirit I wholeheartedly recommend Honey Lake Clinic. I believe it can be as life-changing for you as it was for me.

I loved my stay at honey lake. No matter where you go, there will always be something you can complain about. But with my experience, the negatives never out weighed the positives.
I’ve never found a therapist that knew how to help ocd until I met dr smith. She was AMAZING and I truly can not thank her enough.
The campus is beautiful and the you can sense the Lord all over it.

love love LOVED my time at honey lake. i was there for 1 month. having been recently hospitalized for bipolar and BPD a few weeks prior. upon arriving at honey lake i felt nothing but love and peace. the housing is comfortable. the staff is sweet. from the nurses, therapists, pastors, techs, psychs and kitchen staff & housekeeping. everyone makes you feel so very loved and at peace as you work through your struggles. the food is good and filled with a lot of variety. i really enjoyed it. i frequented the clean and spacious gym as well as the pool and hot tub. made many life long friends and so enjoy being a part of the alumni group post honey lake. 100% worth the investment! Honey Lake Clinic is holy ground. It’s a Christ centered facility/ranch. They helped me tremendously with my trauma. I’d trust them with my children!! My transformation has been miraculous! My experience at Honey Lake was absolutely pivotal to my healing-mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc. The marvelous weaving of psychology and theology along with the counseling and community of fellow individuals broken, non judgmental, caring and receptive to the healing process was absolutely life saving and resetting for me. I went to Honey Lake in August of 2022, at a very low point in my life. I remember there being some difficult, even frustrating things while I was there that seemed like a huge deal at the time. Since it’s been a few years, it’s hard to give details about those hurdles but what I can say is that the good far outweighs the bad. Honey Lake is a wonderful place for people to go to rest and recover from the hardships of life. The staff is so passionate, friendly, and loving. The food is good, and there is so much to do! The schedule is packed with classes, counseling, and group sessions. It is carefully curated to give you the keys to unlocking the fullness of the life God has for you.
What do you need to bring? A desire to learn and grow, and a willingness to be vulnerable. Honey Lake will be a waste of time and money without a desire to fully apply yourself. There are plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation through horse riding, movie nights, the gym, and the pool, to name a few. Honey Lake is a big investment, of time and resources, but it is one that is well worth it if you give it your all.
At Honey Lake, I made friends that have since become like sisters and are still in my life today. I have a lifeline for whenever I need one, in the zoom meetings that are hosted for alumni on a weekly basis. I still have the material from attending the various courses and it is incredible stuff. Pastor John and his wife Tiffany are an amazing and dynamic duo. There are many others who are incredible as well, and I highly recommend attending the weekend workshops. I am extremely grateful for Honey Lake and the foundation they helped me build. The first time it ever truly clicked that God is MY father was at Honey Lake, even though I’ve been a Christian for many years. I will always be grateful for the staff that makes Honey Lake what it is: A refuge for the broken and weary. An oasis of peace and healing. Y’all are truly the hands and feet of God! Thank you!!!

This was my 10th rehab in 6 years and I was giving up on the idea of ever really staying sober. This place saved my life. I felt out off place when I got there. It seemed like everyone knew the Bible front and back except me. Within weeks I had a relationship with my savior that I never even thought was possible. This place does a wonderful job pairing medicine with scripture. Since leaving I have been able to stick to a program of sobriety. That is something I could only do for a few months at a time prior to Honey Lake. Usually when you leave treatment you keep in touch with all the friends you made for a little while but sadly as people relapse, a few months later you're lucky if you still talk to one or two. The majority of the people that I was at Honey Lake with are still sober to this day. I have never seen or heard of anything like this before. This place is so special. Thank God for Honey Lake.
