I have done the PHP and IOP programs with Immersion, and I am highly satisfied with my time here. From the techs to the therapists to the doctors and on to the administrators, the staff here is all knowledgeable and truly care about helping their clients recover. The program is heavily 12 step based, which I wasn't into at first, but came to realize was a blessing. This place is plugged in to the local recovery community and will help get you there as well. Housing and accommodations were very nice. I can't say enough good stuff about this place. If you bring a positive attitude and a desire to recover into this place, you'll leave with most everything you need to maintain long term sobriety.

I did detox, PHP, and IOP with Immersion. I cannot say enough about the staff, groups, food, and housing. This place is beautiful. The rooms are cleaned daily. A chef and his team cook 3 meals a day with plenty of snacks if you’re hungry throughout the day or night. Unfortunately I have been through a couple treatment centers, but I have never been to a place as nice as Immersion. The staff is so kind and willing to help from the directors to the techs. If anyone in my family was struggling I would tell them to go to Immersion! Thank you for such an incredible start to my recovery journey in South Florida!! Proud to be a part of the Gaurdian Recovery Network!

I’m very dissatisfied with Immersion. They are nothing but a detox center and 12 step program. They do not diagnose any possible mental conditions. There is no dual diagnosis there’s not even a single diagnosis. You are basically locked in and attend meetings throughout the day and night. You do not individually meet with doctors or psychologist. Once released your on your own, your given a packet and set on your way. I never received a single follow up call from Immersion.

Immersion exists to make money. They make thousands of dollars a day off patients and invest very little into the patients. The living facilities are old and have little to no accommodations for healthy activities outside of group hours. The food provided to the PHP program at night is slop that is thrown together from leftovers, showed up at 5 pm and often didn't have enough to feed everyone. The other meals you had to cook, which is fine, but again, they are making upwards of 100k$ off some patients and provided very little in the living environment. The techs are lethargic and many do not take their jobs seriously. Their immaturity was a distraction and what's worse, is that they sometimes ran group. Not therapists or counselors, just a person who, in most cases, were prior clients who just stayed. When they ran group it was usually a random video they found on youtube or guided meditation, Why? because they aren't trained therapists or counselors. It was a terrible way to start the day because everyone was immediately withdrawn. The rest of the groups were ran by 12 Step Counselors who only focused on AA and 12 steps. Basically the entire program is AA and 12 steps. AA has its place but to not have cooccurring education, trauma treatment, medication education, diagnosis education or any other type of real clinical work. A typical group day started with a lazy tech who was half asleep playing a video and then 3 groups ran buy 12 step specialists who had zero interest in anything but AA. The fact that mental health education is not a part of the program is criminal. Also, you only saw your therapist once a week for an hour and then in 1 caseload group per week. So only 2 hours out of a 6 day a week program was with an actual therapist. Then, they had almost no activity outside of group, sitting in your living courters, gym ONCE a week and the beach ONCE a week. Again, it comes back to Immersion not wanting to spend money. They nickel and dime every single thing and charge you for every little thing but they do not invest in the actual patient experience. Then coordination team is a joke. They are there to make sure you pay your bills and thats it. If you need anything related to your family, your job, filing for aid, medical issues, legal issues or anything else related to your life outside of their building, is completely on you. At best they will hand you your for 30 minutes and watch you as you take care of everything yourself. Zero help and zero accountability. Finally, they WILL try to convince you to mover to Florida. Every single person was prayed on to try get them to uproot their lives and move to one of the IOP houses. Why? No, they don't own the houses but the houses only use their IOP program. They have a vested interest in you uprooting your life and moving there. They will call your family without your knowledge and push them to make you move down there. I also watched as time and time again they tried to break up couples. Even married couples with children. Myself, they told me I should leave my wife and move to Florida because that was the only way I would stay sober. When I pushed back and said I was getting aftercare in my home state, they said my plan was bad. Not because their after was any different in my home state but because I was not going to leave my wife and move to Florida so that they could financially benefit off my recovery. Stay away from this place!

Immersion was a great experience for me. I did all that there program has to offer and I can’t say enough about it. The facilities are top of the line and the food was great. The best part for me was the staff. They have a bunch of cool people that really care!

Worst experience for treatment i could describe. Locked in a little building in a shopping center, no place to go except your living quarters, a cafeteria and a group room and a small area to smoke outside. The balcony doors are locked closed. No body- healing treatments. Pathetic "sober coaches" with no real therapy and an executive director with a chip on his shoulder. The list actually goes on and on. Your head is buried in a notebook writing your 4th step for the entire time your here. No healing value, no therapeutic value. Just a stressful nightmare. Even the staff were vocal about how working through steps in rehab is not close to what the AA/NA program is about. Do your research, visit this place before you make a commitment. This was an awful treatment experience. Immersions should be closed for false everything. if you could leave negative stars, i would.

I left an expensive Moncler Jacket there before I left. I called 25 times to get it shipped back. An employee probably stole it. There was a security camera right where I left it. They never called me back!!! These are the type of people you deal with over there! Choose a different facility where honesty is part of their job description!

P.S.

I found out about Ibogaine. I flew to Cancun and I have been sober ever since. Avoid rehabs because it’s literally set up for you to be a repeating customer.
