When searching for a place to give birth/have our first baby we knew we didn’t want to do so in a hospital. One of my family members had their first child in the Zephryhills location and recommended them so we did some research and a consultation.

We ultimately decided to move forward and I am so glad that we did!! Everything from beginning to the end on the day of the actual birth was perfect. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and we are so happy that there are places like this that exist where you can bring your child into this world without having to go to a chaotic hospital.

We don’t have insurance either and paid out of pocket and their pricing is very reasonable.

Everyone there was amazing… Lucie with all of the appointments leading up to the big day, and Annette during the labor who helped my wife remain as calm as possible throughout the whole experience and her words of affirmation that made her feel like she could do it.

Kerri was also such a help post birth and sending us home. If you’re looking for a birthing center this place is it! We will be back with our future children to come for sure.

I honestly don’t even know where to start with this review.
Prenatal care:
First off, my prenatal care was phenomenal. Every visit felt like going to meet with a close friend while also maintaining so much professionalism and care . Annette, Lucie and Kerri really made my possible last birth/ pregnancy experience an amazing one. I never felt like any concern was over looked and always felt heard . I feel like I didn’t even have to “advocate” for myself because they just listened. People don’t understand how important it is to have medical professionals just listen to your concerns.

Birth:
On the day I gave birth I was for some reason I was uneasy about baby just not being as active etc and voiced my concerns Lucie and Kerri without hesitation came in on their day off just to check me out and give me some reassurance. After some test we all felt it was time for me to try and get things going with labor and that’s what happened. This part was so important because as I said I barely had to advocate for myself due to them taking my concerns seriously the first time ! So eventually I went into labor while in labor Lucie and Kerri did such an amazing job keeping me company and comfortable as well as speaking affirmations into me and coaching me. I hired a doula and no disrespect, but I felt that with Kerri and Lucie she wasn’t really needed cause they did an amazing job. Even my husband and friend made the same observation that they were just so amazing and attentive. Eventually after 4 hours of labor baby girl was delivered and completely healthy. I kept getting asked “Was she delivered at home “ and had the same reply, “no but it felt like it” if you are interested in a homebirth but too scared to I HIGHLY recommend. Or if you are looking for an alternative to a hospital, this is awesome choice . Will forever be grateful. Any future children will most definitely be delivered with IDS 💞

It was my first time delivering, and the whole staff was incredible! They assisted me in the ways I asked but also in the ways that benefited me. The whole team there is kind and welcoming, definitely made my first birth an incredible experience. Recommend delivering here if you want a birthing center experience!!
