I am an ex-patient of this business. My father paid for these services for me when I was in my early teen years. I am currently in my 20s. I was enrolled into the neurofeedback sessions on the premise of certain sensory issues that I had, and depressive symptoms. The neurofeedback sessions themselves were painless, and the staff were fine. That's not what this review is about.
The bottom line is that, looking back nearly a decade later, I do not believe that this service helped me become the person I am today. Many of the behaviors that were targeted during my treatment time here continued to persist throughout my adolescence (in even worse ways).
It's impossible to establish any causation as to my behaviors today in relation to my treatment, as it has been such a long time since I was a patient here. However, I need to stress that it's highly unlikely that a service like this will "cure" your child. Perhaps there may be an improvement in the immediate, but there's no guarantee that will last. My experience with this center did not magically make me the successful student that I am today. It was through therapies, newfound independence, and simply maturing through time that helped shaped me.
If this service was relatively affordable, I’d be a little softer. However, for the steep price of of these sessions, and the myriads of MUCH cheaper alternatives available, I believe that using the service (at least for a use case like mine) is a gigantic money sink with extremely questionable return. (As someone shooting for grad school myself: just because it sounds and looks sciencey doesn’t mean it’s substantiated enough to warrant a high price tag or suggest it will work in the way it promises.) I would discourage spectators from making an appointment. Do other things, please.
