I will never reach out again! I had a therapist here named Julia who used the words “abusive” and “disrespectful” when describing me and my relationship towards my mother. That was also to my face. She also only engaged in family sessions that were so hurtful even my dad spoke out and said that it seemed like she would attack and berate me all session and only ever listened to my moms point of view. She was more of my mom’s therapist than mine even though I was her client. During our last session (the only one I ever had alone with her) she said that I was not meant to be in therapy because therapy isn’t “ranting” and you need “issues of actual substance.” When I quoted that back to her she denied wording it that way. It turns out a few months later I had undiagnosed autism and the things she said I was lazy or disrespectful about I actually couldn’t control. I will never seek help again and it is because of this woman.

I have truly appreciated the support I've been provided by my therapist, Susan, at Interface Counseling. I have grown stronger and received the support I needed to work through some challenging circumstances in my life.
