If we could give Tay 10 stars, we would!

We signed up our two girls for a 6 week session of ISR in May of 2022 - they were 1.5 and 3.5. While watching your babies learn ISR can be tough at times, knowing you are giving them the gift of such life saving skills is well worth the occasional tears. Signing up for ISR with Tay has been one of the best (and most important) decisions we have ever made for our kids. The time and financial commitment is one you will never regret. Tay is calm, loving, fun, yet firm - everything you would want in a teacher for your children. The tone of her voice, the words she uses to speak to our girls - I even aspire to be like Tay!

Our kids are 4 and 5 and have been water safe for years now and are learning different swim strokes at this point. Seeing the looks on other parents faces as our girls swim freely at their age is something I will never get tired of 🙂 I always love to share our ongoing experience with Tay as I truly believe every single child should have these life saving skills.

Even today, both our girls still constantly ask “When are we going to swim with Ms. Tay?” We love her so much ♡

Our kids have been with Tay for two years, progressing through ISR and stroke lessons. Is it a financial investment? Yes. Is it necessary? Absolutely. Ensuring our kids are water safe is priceless. After trying numerous swim lessons elsewhere, we only saw significant progress with Tay. Starting with her from the beginning would have saved us a lot of time, money, anxiety, and frustration. Imagine that feeling when you see your 3 year old jump off a diving board or fall into the pool fully clothed and yet they can self rescue and find their float.

Our kids and we adore Tay. As a pediatric psychologist, I assure you, you're 110% in the best of hands with her. Tay genuinely cares and builds strong relationships with the kids in the water. She’s the perfect combination of exuberant and boundaried. Tay supported our kids in developing confidence in the water, and we try to sneak in a lesson whenever we can, both for the refresh and to see Tay!

As a parent who has gone through this with 2 kids, don’t hesitate about signing up with Tay. It’s a 6 week commitment and yet this literally saves lives and you will see results. She's incredibly patient, and working with her is pure magic. Calm floats and big kicks for life!

Tay is hands down the best swim instructor around. We have now had the opportunity to do four sessions of ISR with her and our oldest daughter (almost 6) just joined a swim team! My kids spent the first session learning how to self rescue and during the following sessions Tay helped teach them proper strokes and swim skills. Our younger son at just 3 years old is independently swimming and loves the water. We spent years with our oldest at traditional swim lessons to still not feel that she was water safe in any capacity. ISR with Tay is 100% worth the time spent and money. Tay is a calming and caring presence at the poolside and I felt so confident having her there to teach my kids. Don’t wait on signing up, you won’t regret it!

We signed up our 16 month old baby for infant self rescue with Tay over the summer and it was the best investment financially and time wise we’ve ever made. Tay leads with confidence and love and ensures a safe experience for your little one. I felt nervous after the first week or so when our baby was still not loving going in the water but after a couple weeks of being routine and having Tay reassure him he was safe, something clicked. Since completing 6 weeks of lesson with Tay my baby can fall into a body of water with all of his clothes on and get himself into a float position, essentially rescuing himself. He absolutely loves the water and we talk about “Miss Tay” all the time and what she taught us all about water safety. It’s truly lessons for the whole family as you learn safest practices for having fun in the water with your children. I was a competitive swimmer for most of my life and also taught conventional swim lesson- Infant self rescue lessons are different, they are common sense driven and all about empowering your child to have a healthy respect for the water that also allows them to love the water. Most people are not equipped to teach swim lessons- Tay is a true expert and an artist of her craft.

We heard about Taylor from a friend. We really wanted to learn our basics in swimming while also learning survival skills. That one on one time is priceless. Tay was able to meet our goals all while having fun and creating wonderful memories. She was so encouraging to me as a parent as well as my daughter! My daughter ( 4yo) now has the tools she needs to continue having fun in the water and knowing how to be safe! Thank you Tay! You’re Golden!!

My kids LOVE Coach Tay! I was so nervous to start them in ISR and Tay did an amazing job of listening to their big feelings and holding the boundary without getting frustrated. She also assured me along the way and I’m so glad I trusted the process! We’ve done lessons with her for the past 3 summers and we will definitely be back! I feel so much more confident bringing my kids to a pool or water park because of Tay! She’s the best!

Tay (or as my toddler affectionately calls her, Tay Tay) is truly special, not only as an ISR instructor, but also as a person. She is a calm and confident teacher in the pool, always equipped with the phrases that are developmentally appropriate/helpful for babies, toddlers, and older kids that are learning something totally new! I started my son with her when he was 9 months old. I first found her when there were very few ISR certified teachers in my area, but I so had my heart set on ISR for my kid that I was willing to drive 25 miles to her and home everyday for the 6 week program; however, after experiencing the success of my son training with her and the words of support she provides to the parents/caretakers, plus her fun and caring personality, I wouldn’t have my kid train with anyone else and happily make that drive to her! We have now done 4 sessions with Tay, and my 2.5 yo has a healthy fear of water (ie knowing that he can’t just jump in), he will do his calm float like a reflex when he is in the water and needs a breath, and now he is really learning to enjoy swimming on top of the safety training Tay instilled in him. She is pure joy and fun to be around, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have found her! And do not be scared or intimidated by the ISR process - there is nothing abrupt about it. It is all about baby steps, and Tay will walk you through everything! She never has babies/kids do anything they aren’t ready to do.

My daughter had a fantastic summer with Tay! She has a natural ability to connect with kids. After the course, my daughter developed a real passion for swimming, which is incredibly valuable to us. Tay taught safety and skills exceptionally well.
