I went to 2 sessions to get to know my therapist, Petergay Sterling. She was very nice & accommodating with my ESA, Pickles. After the 2nd session, I felt unsettled as I should have spoken up but did not feel comfortable with an intern or someone I didnt know in the room. I received a call from Petergay when I was in the middle of helping a friend so I could not talk. She expected me to call her back within 5 minutes. That didn't happen! Then I expressed the unresolved feelings to the therapist through 2 emails but did not get a response. I tried calling to find out why my 3rd & future sessions were cancelled without notifying or giving me any explanation. I felt completely abandoned by my therapist believing it was my fault when I didn't do anything wrong. So my appointments were cancelled mid July before the therapist flew out to Italy for weeks on vacation. For 3 weeks I'm blaming myself & putting myself down because my own therapist doesn't even want to talk to me. When I called the secretary Ashley in August, I asked why this is happening so she agreed to ask the therapist. I explained I had switched insurance companies but they knew nothing about the change until I told them. So Ashley claimed that Petergay said it was insurance issues. Wow! Ive definitely learned my lesson this time because all those fancy letters behind a therapist name does not mean much if you cannot communicate or listen to the client's needs. My hope is that changes will be made so this doesn't happen to anyone else in the future.

Petergay, Jada, and Melissa are truly wonderful therapists. They each offer their own expertise, but have compassion and kindness in common. If you’re looking for a counselor, this practice will fit your needs. They also have interns, so this is a way you could see a therapist for low cost.

I came to Petergay at a very difficult time in my life, when all the suppressing wasn't working anymore. Spending time with her in a nonjudgemental setting allowed me to speak, be heard and be guided to a place of healing.
