KR Counseling has been an oasis in area that is parched of quality therapists. I've been in therapy intermittently for over a decade, so I've seen my fair share of counselors. Finding what I consider the "unicorn of counselors" has been an arduous journey at times. However, KR Counseling has been a place that meets my mental health needs. With their wide range of specialities among the providers, they were able to pair me with a counselor who could tend to my burnout and struggles with PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety that hampered my functionality, and equipped me with innovative coping skills and strengthen my resiliency. The EMDR therapy has been executed with ethical professionalism, making to sure that the labor was a team effort between myself and the therapist. The therapist is attentive in reading when to push me to go deeper or if I need to do something lighter. As a military spouse, it is next to impossible to find an in-network mental health provider that is competent, compassionate, and knowledgeable when it comes to my lifestyle and its demands. KR Counseling staffs many with ties to the military, which affords me the space to use less emotional labor when discussing the impacts the transient, chaotic life threw our way. They have been flexible in appointments, and have never made me feel guilty if I had to reschedule or accidently missed an appointment. I have such confidence in them that I have switched my medically complex daughter into their care, which has been in incredible blessing in her overall health. I cannot recommend them enough.
