So, I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Bernard at LifeStance. She is kind, understanding, and listens to all concerns. Very personable and attentive.
The only reason for the 4 stars is the absolute ridiculous new online "check in" service, which despite opting out of and stopping text messages from, still come for every appointment through email. It's 2 forms every single time and they ask the same questions over and over. If you want to confirm an appointment with me, pick up that heavy phone and make a call cuz I'm not filling out the forms again!

My Dr is great, understands me, and I am able to get in when needed. They make things very easy by doing forms electronically, so I can have them done ahead of time. My insurance is changing soon and I was so glad that my provider is still in network! I would have been very sad if I had to go somewhere else.

Experience has been good but expecting patients to waste their time every single week to complete the same check in process is ridiculous. I don't care that it's required for your system, find a system that doesn't waste a patients time every single week. Seriously.

Tried to cancel my appointment TWICE and my calls went unanswered. Finally got someone today and they said I would be charged a $50 cancellation fee since I should have called in Friday. WHY AM I BEING CHARGED FOR SOMETHING THAT ISNT MY FAULT? I get paid to WORK not paid to be on the phone WAITING until they feel like answering at their leisure.

I don't typically write reviews, but I feel like LifeStance needs to feel the repercussions of their poor business practices. Two times our therapist had to cancel appointments for us (for good reason, and he is the only reason we are continuing to work w/ Life Stance). The first time they canceled, we got notice that day. The second time we were not given any notice, but we called because we were concerned because of the previous cancelation. Our therapist was unavailable that time as well, but we would not have known if we did not call. Today, Friday morning, we called to cancel and reschedule our Monday late evening appointment for later in the month. We were told that we needed 48 hour notice, and weekends don't count, otherwise we would have to pay a $50 cancelation fee. The person on the other end couldn't help us because it was time stamped, and the policy would require us to pay the $50. I think it is convenient that they can charge us the $50 cancelation fee, but we have no remedy for them canceling the day of the appointment, two times, and the second time without notification. LifeStance, if you are reading this, you need to change your practices. If it was not for our therapist, we would not be working with you in the future.

Update 9/24/24 after I had written to LifeStance, and they responded that they would be contacting me in response to our issue, and of course, no response. This is what I wrote them today:

Funny, no one reached out to us. I find it odd that your email is "[email protected]". My wife was on hold w/ your company for 45 minutes to discuss a past due payment, which we believe was an error, at least in part, on your accounting end. No one picked up, even though she was told multiple times that her call was important to you. There was no opportunity to get a call back when a representative was available, which would have reinforced the point that her call was important to you. If you really want to redeem your company's name, please reach out.

not happy with them, initially I had asked multiple times if they accept my insurance prior to booking which they said yes. On day of appointment reconfirmed they accepted my insurance and they said yes, Showed up to appointment and front desk confirmed now 4th time that insurance is accepted. Now they are billing for the consultation and impossible to get anyone to answer the phone.

therapist was terrible as well made my daughter feel the issues she is having is her own fault. Felt the therapist was not listening to the child at all. I will not go back

Very welcoming and professional. I have been there only once , but I feel I connected with my therapist . She listened to me and ask me many important questions to get to know me better. I felt good and hopeful coming out . I am looking forward to my next appointment!
