Luci’s Daycare has been an absolute blessing for our family! My son started to attend daycare at 18m (now 4) and our younger son started at 6 months (now 18m) and from the very first day, Luci and her team made us feel welcome, supported, and confident that they were in great hands. In the first days we were anxious re: drops offs and nap times, etc. but Luci kept us reassured and gave us constant updates throughout the day. The environment is warm, nurturing, and thoughtfully structured to support every stage of development.
What stands out most is how much love and care Luci and Jessica put into their work. They truly treat each child like family and go above and beyond to make sure each child feels safe, happy, and engaged. The daily activities include projects that are so creative, as well as outdoor play, blending fun with learning—our little one comes home excited to tell us all their day. Did I mention she throws a party for each child’s birthday?
Communication is also excellent. We always feel informed about our childrens’ day and frequently receive photos. Luci is quick to respond to any questions or concerns, she’s literally just a text message away. Her passion and professionalism shine through in everything she does.
We’re so grateful to have found Luci’s Daycare—it’s made a huge difference in our child’s growth and happiness. Our 4-year-old is just about to transition to TK and while we will definitely miss the relationship we’ve grown to have with Luci and Jessica, we are so confident that he is more than ready for this change.
Highly recommend to any parent looking for a warm, dependable, and enriching daycare experience!

My kids were at Luci’s Daycare for a year and a half, and we are so grateful for the positive impact it has had on their development.

My daughter started when she was just 6 months old, and the mixed-age environment was wonderful for her. She had the chance to learn from the older kids while also practicing gentleness with the younger ones.

My son loved talking about his time playing in the backyard, doing art projects with his friends, and sharing stories about his day with the teachers. It was clear that he felt excited and engaged every day.

Over time, we’ve seen how much our kids have bonded with Luci and the teachers. I felt reassured and comforted knowing they were in a safe, warm, and nurturing space where they were cared for with such love and attention.

We will sincerely miss Luci’s Daycare and are incredibly grateful for the care, support and joy our kids received during their time there.

My husband and I visited Luci's daycare twice, and Luci was incredibly understanding of our anxiety about sending our spirited 18-month-old to daycare for the first time. She addressed all of our concerns, from sleeping and eating to learning, safety, conflict resolution, and our need for frequent updates to help us feel comfortable with the transition. Our 3-year-old has been going to Luci’s Daycare for over a year now, and we couldn’t be happier with the care and attention he receives. From day one, the teachers have been loving and attentive, creating a warm environment where our child feels at home. We’ve seen such incredible improvement in his social skills and development since he started.
He’s always eager to go to school, and even when he’s home sick, by the next day, he’s already asking and insisting that he wants to go to school. It’s clear that the teachers genuinely care about each child—they greet him with smiles and hugs, making every day feel special.
Luci, the owner, is fantastic at keeping us updated on our child’s progress. We get regular reports, and if there’s ever a reason why our child can’t be at school, she’s quick to reach out and check up on him. We appreciate how much the staffcare about the well-being of every child and their family. It’s such a comfort to know that if something is wrong, Luci is on top of it.

Luci’s Daycare was an amazing starting point for my child. My husband and I enrolled our daughter part-time when she was a little over 15 months old. Like any first-time parent, I was very anxious at the time about sending my kid to daycare so young, especially since she had never been cared for outside of our home before. However, Luci put my mind at ease from the very beginning. She sent photos of our daughter throughout the day, communicated with me regularly and promptly, and always respected our specific rules and precautions.

Luci and her staff (shoutout to Jessica) were incredibly attentive to my daughter’s needs and well-being. For example, our daughter has a peanut allergy but is fine with most other nuts, like almonds. When Luci asked about using a specific brand of almond butter for the kids’ lunch or snacks, she gave me a jar to take home so I could be with my daughter when she tried it. Whenever my daughter had difficulty napping, Luci and her staff would patiently work with her (they even put up blackout curtains in the room!) and update me frequently. Whenever my daughter was sick, Luci would check in with me and it never seemed perfunctory or obligatory—she was always genuinely concerned about my girl’s health.

Over time, it became obvious to me that my daughter loved Luci, Jessica, and her overall experience. Her language, social, and gross motor development blossomed. She took home adorable art projects, learned how to identify letters and count to 10, began to sing, overcame her fear of riding bikes, and was thrown a super cute birthday party. If she could only type (she’s still a toddler), she would have written this review herself!

We cannot thank Luci and her staff enough for their amazing care, attention, and warmth. For any parent(s) looking for a daycare in Pinole, we recommend Luci’s Daycare without hesitation.

This is more than just a daycare. This is a loving and passionate group of teachers, caregivers and moms. My daughter loved her time here and made many friends. Luci's daycare creates a great learning environment and activities for the kids. All the little projects continue to hang around our home. They helped us with potty training!
We loved the structure of the day they created, the space is impeccably clean, and the teachers throw birthday and holiday events for the kids. My daughter learned an incredible amount of things while attending (3) years. Her ABC's, space, animals, all her months, memorizing songs, how to spell her name and others, the list goes on.
Forever grateful our family found this daycare and the many great memories our daughter made here.

We love Luci's daycare. Our daughter was born at the beginning of the pandemic and we were getting so worried about her developing socially. We needed to find a place where she can grow and learn, but more importantly, be loved and well cared for. We were initially hesitant on a home based daycare instead of a center, thinking it would not be as structured for development. However, we are so glad we went with Luci's. Luci and her wonderful assistants are warm and loving, and we completely trust them with our daughter. Our daughter transitioned seamlessly to the daycare, no major crying or being upset in the mornings at drop off. It was very much to our surprise, considering she never had anyone outside of immediate family caring for her. They must be doing it right if she says she loves going to "school". Luci is also very responsive, we never wait long for a text from her. We always receive little videos and pictures of our daughter doing activities or during holiday parties.

The daycare feeds her both breakfast and lunch, which is amazing. Our daughter never complains about being hungry at daycare. They do little art projects everyday and we always look forward to seeing what she has made. They also teach her things beyond the abcs or colors, topics like recycling, space, the ocean, etc.. She's made friends, and really grew socially. We feel Luci's has really prepared her for prek, but we are also so sad to be leaving.

We love Luci’s Daycare so much. My child is so happy to go every day. I trust Luci and her helpers fully and know that my child is in wonderful hands. Luci has curriculum and teaches the kids letters, numbers, songs; they do projects daily. My child has learned so much about putting things away and taking turns from Luci.
I would recommend Luci’s Daycare to anyone and I am SO sad thinking about when my child will leave to go to preschool. My child adores Luci, and Luci and all her helpers love my child so much. Couldn’t ask for more.
