Although Margaret displays a gentle temperament she seemed uninvolved with the sessions. Other than the go to phrase of “how does that make you feel” there was no depth. I wasn’t made to feel safe with expressing my internal emotions and on several occasions a biased opinion was exposed. In such a sensitive situation the words “A man doesn’t have to deal with the same unsafe situations, in the workplace and in public, as women do” does not need to be spoke. That was a very damaging thing to say when someone is looking for a safe and neutral place to help save a relationship. There were multiple instances of examples like that. There seemed to be a lack of understanding from an equal and unbiased medium. This experience was in no way a benefit to a relationship that did not survive.
