I am extremely frustrated with this provider. My daughter's recent appointments have been cancelled multiple times, and today was no exception. I arrived early for a 1 PM appointment (around 12:45 PM) only to be told it was actually scheduled for 12:30 PM. Despite showing up early, they refused to see her. When I mentioned the previous cancellations, I was falsely told that we had cancelled for reasons like a "funeral" and "flu," which is not true. All of the cancellations were initiated by the provider.

While my daughter liked the intern she was seeing, it became clear that the intern wasn't able to handle concerns appropriately and needed to ask for help. The front desk staff was unhelpful, and I found myself raising my voice in frustration—something I’ve never done before in public. This level of unprofessionalism and poor communication is unacceptable. We will not be returning.

While I loved the counselor I had & looked forward to my appointments.
Their billing department is absolutely incompetent.

I always paid for my visit right after my counseling session.
I even called 24 hours in advance if I had to cancel an appointment.
I kept receiving unpaid statements for no show fees and appointments that were already taken care of before leaving the facility.

Unfortunately I had to stop going because of the fraudulent billing. It sucks because their counselors are awesome.

Would not recommend solely because of their billing department.

I have been seeing a wonderful counselor. Her name is Ada. I was in a very dark place in my life and really didn't want to go to therapy but the moment I sat down in her office I felt safe from myself. It's like Ada plugged in a nite light and slowly it's been getting brighter each time I see her. She makes me feel safe she makes me feel like a person again. The staff has been great too the first time I came in they smiled at me. I guess I had a scared look on my face but they made me feel welcomed and they still do when I check in. Thank you Ada and to the staff.

So I went down to see a psychiatrist and a therapist. The therapist did nothing but have me talk about my day with no real help with any of my issues. Melanie, the psychiatrist has helped me with wonders. I will give her a five-star. I've been going there for I want to say close to a year and for some reason I kept getting these things in the mail saying this is not a bill but you may owe. Those letters started stacking up $200 $300 and up to the point where I now owe them $800 because it finally turned into a bill. After speaking with them and speaking to my insurance and playing the middleman, I was informed that mental edge did not properly file my insurance information leaving me with the $800 bill. I literally just got off the phone with Addie from billing and told her that I am canceling everything and that they need to take my card off of the payment because I cannot make payments on something that my insurance has not made any payments on yet. She requested that I continue my appointments going which would continue to add up on that bill and I told her that I cannot afford that because they are failing to file my information correctly. I have spoken to others that go to mental edge and they said they have the same issue. I went there looking for help I left looking for even more help now.

I started neurotherpry about 2 and a half years ago and it made me a whole different person in a good way I’m thankful I stuck with it and I’m grateful my counselor Ken didn’t give up on me either I personally think Mental Edge counseling is a great place for whatever support you need the people there are amazing!

We absolutely love Mental Edge Counseling! Finding the right therapist can be tough and we are thankful to have John as our therapist. The staff are equally great and friendly. They have helped our family tremendously for both family and individual therapy. The office is clean, appointment scheduling is easy and while there is a fee for not showing up to your appointment they are super accommodating with options to prevent a no show fee! We can’t forget Whisper, the therapy Doodle either!

Called for an appointment for couples therapy and was told I have to pay 250.00 for an appointment even though they accept Medicaid and both of us have Medicaid...the world wonders why it's so hard to get help for mental health. This is truly sickening!!

Counselors are nice but getting should of billing and then hanging up on you is the reason why people need counselors. Billing is lazy
