This is a very great team of people working together to help out all the people they can. The doctors are very nice but Melissa Rice, P.A. is the lady to see. She's been there for me through some of the roughest times in my adult life. She really is an amazing human being and I can honestly say she's changed and saved my life on more than 1 occasion. As cheesy as it sounds she really has and I would recommend her and the team she works with to anyone who is in need of their support. Thank you Mentus, and Thank you Melissa for all that you do. 💜

Dr Betancourt and Brianna are an amazing team. I couldn't be any happier with Dr. Betancourt's expertise and caring approach to his practice. Thank you so much Dr Rice, I appreciate the fast response that you and your office members provide for my needs. Melissa is very good at her job and also cares on a professional level about your mental health. It took me a long time to open up in therapy with other therapists, but on my first session with Melissa I felt really comfortable and was able to speak freely with her. Brianna is absolutely heart warming and gets back to you with the help that's requested, she cares about my well-being as much as Melissa does.. Melissa Rice, PA-C, MMS, CAQ-Psych IS EXTRAORDINARY!!!

!!! If I could give her a MILLION stars I would!!! She is 100% what you need in a Psychiatrist!! Rice listens to everything you say and all the details. She comes up with a plan and works through it with you- as a team. I have been to a few different Psychiatrists and NONE of them remotely compare to Rice at all. My last psych (I wont name this person) was very incompetent in her job- So much so that she (my ex psych/ before Mentus health) overdosed me so bad on mood stabilizers that my family & friends were constantly telling me I was walking like a zombie and looked tired 24/7...I even had to quit a very nice job because of W's utter ignorance to my personal case...there were times when W would ask me every single visit if Wellbutrin is something I would consider taking for my depression...I've told her over and over that I can not take it because it would interact badly with my epilepsy medication (which I found odd that she didn't know already- I *the PATIENT* had to google this med to find out) and it could cause grand-mal seizures. EVERY visit she would ask that...like she never even looked at my chart to begin with. Sorry for my rant about my last psych. I just want everyone to know that Melissa does not mess around. Melissa Rice gets right to the problem and fixes it!! I can not express enough HOW MUCH I recommend having Rice as your Psychiatrist!!! Rice seriously cares about her patients. You are never just a number with Melissa- you are a person, and you can feel this immediately.

If it wasn't for Dr. Rice- I would still be dealing with debilitating depression and crazy anxiety.
Melissa recommended a "spit kit" (I can't recall the name of the test) that I swab my mouth with and send back. Not too long after- we got the results. This test showed us EXACTLY which medications would work for me and what meds would not work for me. This was really outstanding of Dr. Rice, because NONE of my other psych's EVER mentioned it....and its been out for YEARS!!

GO TO MENTUS- AND ASK FOR MELISSA RICE!!

If you or a loved one is in need of a Psychiatrist - Rice is your answer!!! She is not just your doctor, she is your friend.
