Moving my child to Mountaineers was the best choice my family has ever made! Everyone goes above and beyond here! The love and compassion shown for every student is remarkable! The education received is tailored for each student perfectly! She was no longer lost in the mix. You are welcomed like family and you truly feel like you have become just that. It is the best feeling in the world to know that as a parent I have done the best thing I could for my child in finding this school!

I would like to say Mountaineer School of Autism deserves more stars **
The word " Phenomenal " is how I feel about this School. The Owner Mary Jo is amazing everyone that works at this school goes above and beyond. Could not find a more welcoming group to help your child or children. Even after moving out of the state they made us feel so special by sending my son's a small token and reminder of how much my son's meant to them which gave so much joy to my son's.

Both of our sons just Started here , One is on the spectrum and one is not . We were struggling to find a school for my son Jimmy that is on the spectrum, He used to go to public school acreage Pines elementary , and one of the teachers bit him on the head and we have been looking for a school ever since which that was two years ago, we were scared to start at a new place but the feeling that we received when we walked in to mountaineers school of autism was amazing and a true blessing , knowing that both of my sons Jimmy and Jack can go to the same school and not worrying about picking one up and then picking up the other at a different location was a true blessing . The warm feeling that you get from seeing all the children they’re smiling and being free spirited is a blessing , when I pick up my sons they are both happy and have so much to tell me. The staff is amazing and Mary Jo is awesome !! If you’re looking for a school for your child on the spectrum this is definitely the school , as I am a very worried parent for my son Jimmy but him being at the school gives me a sign a relief because I know that he is OK there . Looking forward to an awesome year and many thank you Mary Jo you are a true blessing !!!! January

Thank you Mountaineer school of Autism I am so blessed to say that my sons are attending your school. My sons have struggled a lot in the last two years with other schools and not wanting to go to school because of their struggles. For the first time ever I got to hear one of my sons say he did not want to leave school or his teacher at the end of the day it blew me away. My sons are so excited to go to school tomorrow it makes me so happy to get to see them so happy to go learn. The staff/teachers here seem more like family then coworkers, they have such a wonderful positive vibe i can see why my sons are so happy at Mountaineer school of Autism. I look forward to seeing how much my sons will grow thanks to Mountaineer school of Autism.

Being a part of Mountaineer’s has been such a great experience! I wake up every morning excited to go play at work. Everyone is super friendly and is always willing to lend a helping hand. The children are amazing and receive awesome services. Being able to work with these children and give the guidance that they need is so rewarding. Mary Jo is the absolute best and will go the extra mile for the children at Mountaineer’s. She has done absolute wonders for the school!!

Upon my journey in desperately seeking an open-minded, loving, inviting world of others who would love and accept my daughter and fight for her as much as me, I found Mountaineers School for Autism! The founder, the staff, the students, and the volunteers are some of the best humans around. Not only has this school lifted my daughter's spirits, as well as mine, but it has opened the door to opportunities we never thought we would attain. I am no longer alone on my journey to advocate for my daughter!!!! Finally, I do not have to settle for a school or system that is what it is; now I can wish for the best for my daughter in education, therapy, and social, and actually attain these dreams and wishes. We are just beginning our journey on climbing this beautiful mountain, and I am eagerly anticipating the next steps on our path with these incredible new family members of ours. Don't wait like me, yes this is possible for you and taking a free tour never hurts. I hope that many more can receive the love Mountaineer has to offer.

What I love most about Mountaineers is that the kids are free to be their unique selves. They are so loved and accepted from day one. They’re celebrated and embraced for who they are. There is no “sticking to the book” and stressing testing and standards as they learn, being that they have such unique learning styles. They use the Abekka curriculum for academics—with a twist of hands on learning from the teachers. And pulling other learning materials (whatever is best for the individual). They can learn through play and social interaction. Make friends and feel loved. Make gains in communication, academics and life skills—all tailored to fit their individual needs. Beautiful new Sensory Room and OT room..as well as new equipment being added to both playgrounds (yes, two playgrounds!!!). The staff is happy, and the kids feel the good vibes...so they are happy. It’s like a big family. Music, Art, Dancing, Sensory Science—this all helps probe the interests of the students. The admin and staff are genuinely happy to see the kids when they come in the morning..most of the staff are either parents or siblings of someone who is on the Autism spectrum-so they get it!! I am so happy to say that I teach here and love going to work in the morning. My twin brother has Autism and inspired me to be a Special Ed teacher. I always wish that this school was around 15 years ago so that my brother could have gone here. It’s too easy to get lost in the system at other schools. This little slice of heaven gives kids the true attention and love they deserve. Staff are trained and do a great job with managing various types of behaviors. We love first, teach second. I can’t say enough beautiful things about this school!

My wife and I are very excited for our daughter, Emma, to begin her journey at Mountaineers this year! MJ and her team have gone above and beyond for our family every step of the way. For anyone considering MSA, it's so much more than a tailored curriculum and wide range of services for our kids. For example, they asked to spend time with our daughter at the campus yesterday (Saturday?!) just so my wife and I could go out for a date. As special needs parents, it's that kindness and consideration around every detail that highlight how much thoughtfulness and love they put into every aspect of the academy. It's a new chapter and we feel so blessed, thank you MSA 🙂
