I had rotator cuff repair August 30 where they also reattached several bicep muscles. I was assigned Darci Tharp as my Physical Therapist. She was AMAZING. She explained every exercise I needed to do and why I needed to do it. She offered advice and encouragement. Yes, the exercises were painful, but I made progress every week. Over the past 20 years I have had 5 different Physical Therapists, and Darci is by far the best one I have had.

I had a total knee replacement and Darci was my physical therapist. She encouraged and pushed me each time I went and when I was doing them at home!. We also laughed and cried together. The staff and PT Associates create a very positive atmosphere always encouraging all the patients. Today was my last day of PT and a very heartfelt thank you and hug was given to Darci. I am grateful for the care I received at Next Step Rehab on 66th St in St Pete. The folks at the front desk, on the phone and in person, were kind and efficient. The physical therapist who worked with me, Anne-Marie, gave me the care that I needed to address my knee problem, also with kindness and effectiveness. She taught me exercises to do at home that within one week have me able to do my exercise walking again. I highly recommend her for problems with knees.

I owe Debbie a great deal of gratitude for her expertise and professionalism, which without I would have totally lost the use of my left hand. She and the entire staff at this location are a dedicated group of professionals there to help with the recovery of their patients. I'm moving from the area in June and will truely miss my appointments. There have a few traumatic events in my family during the time I was being treated and some of the treatments were very painful I'm very grateful that I could vent while there. Debbie is a very understanding person. This is the best place ever.

I received outstanding care while rehabilitating from full knee replacement surgery at Next Step Physical Therapy. My case was complicated because I fell at home a month after surgery resulting in two pelvic fractures. All of the staff from the front desk to the physical therapists are top notch. Friends and family recommended them to me and I have since referred several people to them. If you want to achieve the best results possible from highly skilled professionals this is the place for you!

I absolutely love this therapy company! Steve is an amazing therapist and the owner, Wayne, is a physical therapist who actually works there. They are kind, responsive & dedicated to positive patient outcomes. The front desk girls are absolutely lovely and care about the patients, as well! I have used Next Step Rehab twice in the last seven years and am so grateful for the excellent physical therapy I have received each time. Most recently I was blessed to have Steve who helped me recover from two unexpected and challenging hip surgeries. All staff are kind, professional, encouraging, and committed. There is an esprit de corps among staff that promotes a sense of well being, safety and positivity. Therapy areas are clean and well-maintained and well-equipped.

After shoulder surgery, my surgeon , said I would be throwing again in 3 weeks if I was faithful to my PT. Well he was correct to the day because I found the right PT firm in Next Step with the best therapist in Steve Tompkin. He set me up with the correct program and kept me to it. It all worked.
The whole staff made this experience well worthwhile. Highly recommend Next Step Rehab to everyone
