Joey Caggiano at One More Light Counseling has truly made a huge impact in my life. He gives me the tools I need to navigate life through the lens of a neurodivergent person. WOW! I am Impressed! Joey Caggiano, with One More Light Counseling & Wellness, has been my therapist for more than 6 months and I have made incredible progress working together with him. Joey has everything I value in a therapist. He is a caring and skilled professional. He approaches our sessions with compassion, wit, wisdom, warmth, integrity, unparalleled active listening skills, and a kind heart.

Joey easily creates a nonjudgmental safe space, where I not only feel comfortable exploring my issues but also feel valued. He has expertise in many therapeutic modalities; this has provided me with a set of tools that have been tailored to my personal growth. Specifically, though his proficiency with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy has been indispensable to my healing and growth. (IFS is a non-pathologizing evidence-based therapy that helps people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts and develop self-leadership.) Joey is also a neurodivergent-affirming therapist, his expertise in this area has given me the insight and tools I need to support my grandson who is on the autism spectrum.

I could not have been more fortunate than to have Joey randomly assigned as a therapist through my Employee Assistance Program (EAP), when I reached out for help with work stress. I am a nurse; I have sought therapy many times throughout my life due to both personal and work-related stressors. Several great therapists, over the years, have helped me learn skills that provided symptom relief. In working with Joey, I have improved upon those skills and gained new ones. Beyond learning skills though, I have developed a deep sense of self-acceptance and self-leadership which I never thought possible.
