Dr Gorman is great! He is very thorough and was amazing with my child.

Billing department not so much. They verified my insurance before my first visit, gave me a breakdown of cost of out of pocket costs and then a few weeks later called me and was extremely rude to me saying insurance denied their claim and told me I needed to pay in full right then and there.
Insurance sucks I get it… But any person who works with insurance and is decent at their job would know you call the insurance company FIRST to see why they denied a claim they already verified. You don’t call the patient and demand payment rudely….but instead I had to do their job for them. Turns out they sent it to the wrong electronic claim number. Glad I could fix their simple mistake for them had they just picked up the phone and called insurance company

I am absolutely impressed with Dr. Gorman and his insight. No one is perfect and I read the reviews prior to using him and thought, "If these are the only gripes he has, then he's got to be amazing." I was not disappointed.

About the other reviews...I don't want to be a snowflake. Everyone has a bad day. Everyone has a life before and after I talk to them. I want to give them the same courtesy and space I would want if I'd had a bad day (or a difficult life). I need to be just as compassionate and understanding as what I want them to be to me. After all, isn't that the basis of the Golden Rule, "Do to others as you would want them to do to you." That means I don't leave a 1-star review just because I'm ticked off esp when those reviews directly affect whether or not someone else makes enough to pay their staff and feed their family and pets.

take this from my own experience with Dr. Gorman. I was in a car accident in elementary school leading to a traumatic brain injury that no one believed I would be able to be “okay” again. I had a piece of my brain literally chip off and disconnect. Dr. Gorman was the ONLY one who was able to describe what piece of my brain disconnected and what it would mean. He gave my parents a hope that I would be okay again. I spent a lot of time and effort with Dr. Gorman to literally reconnect that piece back to normal. He became family to me and I would not be the person I am today with out him. He cares and wants to help. He is and will always be an important person in my life that I will never forget about. so thank you Dr. Gorman for everything you did for me and my family.

Dr. Gorman was amazing. Our daughter suffered a stroke at the early age of 25 and the resulting psychological effects were totally unexpected and very hard for us to deal with. Since the stroke was caused by medications we did not want to deal with psychiatrists who always wanted to start with a pill. Dr. Gorman earned her trust and respect. Some people had suggested a female doctor; but Dr. Gorman worked great for our daughter. He was very methodical, explained what was happening in the beginning, provided tangible tools to speed recovery and was flexible and understanding of her situation. I am so pleased to say she has recovered and returned to her job. We thank Dr. Gorman every day for giving us our daughter back.
