As a disclaimer, I have not been a patient at PLH, but I learned that my last therapist, Timothy Clampitt, is joining their Scottsdale practice in April, and I wanted to share the experience I had with him. I was transferred to Timothy by my first therapist and was in the middle of processing a variety of different personal, relational, and trauma issues. I was initially skeptical of sharing my issues with a male caregiver, but I stuck with him and he stuck with me and my hesitation couldn't have been more unwarranted. I never felt as if I was on the clock when I was in his office, and he made the environment feel extremely safe and welcoming despite the difficult subject matter. Any good therapist will keep up with their patients and have good bedside manner, but I could tell he genuinely cared about my recovery. He knew when to let me speak and knew when to provide his insight. And in general he's just a very likeable and relatable person. He is by far still the best therapist out of the bunch I have had.
While I can't speak on behalf of PLH's services specifically, I am confident that if he has chosen to join them, they are well-deserving of his good nature and vice versa. I'm sad I couldn't continue treatment with him, but he left me in a much better state than he found me and I will be forever grateful for the progress I made under his care. Wishing Timothy and all of his future clients the best at PLH!
