My kids have been bullied a few times, verbally and even physically, and the bus administrator continued to make excuses and dismiss these mean behaviors from the kids. He would tell you he would talk to these kids but that is as far as it goes. I finally pulled my kids from the bus route and have been driving them to school myself. It is very inconvenient for me but my kids tell me it is much better as the noise level on the bus is just way loud and kids are chaotic with little or non existent adult supervising. They don’t have supervising in the morning at all so you can imagine the poor bus driver has to deal with this while driving. This is unacceptable. Why do the kids who behave wild get to ride the bus? Why should my kids have to put up with being pushed and bullied if they want to ride the bus? Its the intimidating parents of these kids who allow them to continue being violent verbally and physically and think their kids have the right to deal with other children with violence when we they don’t like someone. it doesn’t help when the bus administrator does nothing but tell you “I’ll talk to the kid” and doesn’t resolve the issues and he has never gotten back with me what he would oe could do about it. the behaviors continue until someone gets really hurt. Terrible bus safety system.
THE SCHOOL, HOWEVER, IS FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY!! We love it so far. It’s my kids first year so we will see. My kids and I love their teachers.one incident I didn’t like was when my son made a comment in the hall way while a kindergarten teacher had her students lining up, told him to shut his mouth.. wow, I was surprised! that’s not how Christian teachers are to get mad at the students? Teachers, please set a godly example to the children when you’re working at PCA. We relocated here from way down south to enroll our children in a Christian schooling environment. It’s hard enough at home for some of our children and they should be able to feel loved and respected at school while they’re there. Teachers. Remember, kids do share with their parents whatever you say that they feel was unfair or unjust. They need to trust you to be fair and just while dealing with them. Thank you and our family prays for the school, staff, and students daily. But we value PCA teachers. They are mostly young but very professional in their appearance and teaching skills.

I really don't even know where start... Today my husband and I brought our Abeka Homeschool kiddo to visit the Pensacola Christian Academy while vacationing here in Florida from Texas (which was a 9hr drive). Our kiddo was SUPER EXCITED to see what the campus looked like and take pictures. However, that excitement was quickly brought to an end when a campus official called a security Sherrif Officer on us. The officer that approached us was very nice and had said someone from the school notified them of suspicious individuals on campus. This is extremely alarming to us when we went to the front lobby and spoke with Ginger; the same person I spoke with over the phone last Wed 08/17/22 and she had advised that although they're unable to do a full tour of the campus and do the teacher meet and greet, we're more than welcome to visit the campus lobby, bookstore, and take pictures during our Florida visit. However, that was not the case.

When we went to the lobby, I introduced my family to her and said I had spoken to a campus representative by the name of Ginger and was told we could visit the lobby, bookstore, and take pictures. The front desk staff didn't confirm her identity and was VERY RUDE AND SHORT WITH US!!! There was not an ounce of welcoming or excitement given to us. She just said this is the lobby and the bookstore is to the left when exiting the lobby. It wasn't until I went back into the office to schedule an appointment for a later tour and meet and greet that the front desk rep, she asked for my email, and said the details will be provided in email and cut me off. Once I had received the email, I was able to confirm that the RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL Ginger I met in person today was the same friendly Ginger I had spoken to on the phone on Wed 08/17/22.

There was nothing of our character or personality I feel could have triggered anything suspicious. The only thing I can assume at this point is my Mexican husband walked in bald headed with tattoos and that made someone uncomfortable. But even then, he and I were very friendly, respectful, and had introduced who we were, where we were from, and why we were there. We didn't just randomly start walking the front exterior of the campus entrance. We asked and were given permission.

My husband and I are beyond upset and furious with the treatment we received today!!!! ? Since having our child attend Abeka Homeschool, we've spoken very highly of the program and of Pensacola Christian Academy, where the student lessons are filmed. But after today's discriminative and unprofessional experience, my husband and I no longer vouch for Pensacola Christian Academy. This establishment deserves '0' ?. After this school year is over, my husband and I will be taking our child's education and our money elsewhere. Is this really how Pensacola Christian Academy treats its homeschool students that visit?! What a disgrace!!! We will not be scheduling a later date for a PCA Tour nor a Teacher Meet and Greet.

I am requesting someone of high administrative authority to please reach out to me to further discuss the issue at hand.

My experience is from the perspective of the cleaning staff, which only consists of the extended care program. My supervisor was wonderful, and I enjoyed the work environment for the most part. However, what I saw made me upset daily! The after school care program was horribly demeaning! The children would be in the care of young women with very little patience or sympathy for children. Children were not allowed to noticeably laugh, because laughing makes "too much noise." The children were marched in perfectly straight lines, or else the loose child was reprimanded. A few times the staff would comment on a child's "unruly" home life, after the parents picked up their child. Children who were very sweet and normal (just a little hyper) would be snapped at for no legitimate reason. I was horrified how these children were treated with such sharp and unforgiving demands. Kids are kids, not silent soldiers. I would never recommend the extended care program to anyone. I am embarrassed by the degrading "care" I saw.

Being a Senior in this upcoming next school year I can say I've enjoyed being a homeschool student through Abeka's videos here in Texas! I will say I'm not Baptist and I don't agree with everything they teach, but I've gotten a great education as a homeschool student regardless of the religion. I've had so many great teachers, and while some I dislike, and others I love, they have taught me well. Mr. McBride has become a wonderful role model to me and my sister and I hope to follow the example this school pushes to achieve. As a high school student who has gone through three years of this education, I can say it's worth your time.

Education is good. Dress code is terrible and unfair.
Boys get to wear comfortable outfits like hoodies and jeans while the girls have to suffer all day by having to wear skirts. Skirts are uncomfortable. And they call the girls out of class for dress checks, why is the clothes they are wearing more important than them being in class. Dress code is definitely unfair when it’s boys vs girls. Unacceptable. Three stars because of dress code. At least let girls wear dress pants if you don’t want the pants to be “too tight”. Not to mention they are too hard on the girls when it comes to there skirts. If there skirt accidentally comes up a tiny little bit above their knee they get dress coded. Don’t recommend this school for teenage girls.

If you are a very religious family, do not send your child here unless you believe in PCA's doctrine. One teacher was going to suspend my class in seventh grade because we did not believe in their religious doctrine. It really shows the differences between denomination. The education is top of the line, but the school can be racist and staff members show favoritism. I was luck they like me. If not I would have be expelled. I hated that school so much that I tried to be expelled. Most teacher have to be strict to enforce their rules. When I went there, all the nice teachers were being fired for doing nice things for their students. Things like buying student donuts, it had the staff scared. My bus drive would do nice things for use, but always tell use to eat it on the bus and do not tell no one. The school is the best in the area, maybe in the state. the only problem is how they conduct and enforce their rules. I like the school, but some of the staff and rules really makes you hate it. IF you are a musician, I advise you to go to this school. Has one of the best programs for musicians. LOVE the music department!!!

The teachers at this school absolutely put in 100 percent into every single lesson. Please do not heed the other reviews condemning this school. This was by FAR the best education possible combined with the best faculty. Everything is handled professionally and my neices loved their teacher! Communication was excellent and dedication noticed.

With 4 kids, and a husband in the military we have moved a lot and lived in 4 states. I have never in my life seen a school so well put together and thought out in such detail. I love that they still teach cursive, and how to use a dictionary and how everything is NOT on the computer, in elementary actually nothing is on the computer. They wait until middle school to introduce it. As it is a tool and not the sole means of education. Traditional teaching. We left for a year (my husband got stationed elsewhere) when my daughter was in 7th grade and she has skated through the entire 8th at her new school because of how far ahead she was. We miss it so much that we (4 kids and myself) are going back while my husband serves. They have orchestra, sports, and are always consistant, the values they teach is the most important. Our family absolutely LOVES this school!
