I Took my son to this practice after being referred here for a possible math learning disability. After a few visits evaluation was completed and according to the results my son presented no disability and everything was perfect. Well, that was not what they listed in the insurance billing. Entering the wrong billing code has label my son incorrectly and now we are having insurability issues. When I contacted Pittington counseling their remedy was to have him evaluated again because they can not change their diagnosis. There is no way I would take him back. I contacted them multiple times over the phone and by email , the receptionist promised to have the doctor rectify this by writing a letter I could present to my insurance and now they stopped responding to me. BE AWARE of this place!! They are very unprofessional and unresponsive.. It is a total waste of time and I would never use their services or recommend any one to this place.

I’ve been a long time client of Pittington Counseling for my children in their teenage years. We’ve had a few really great therapists over the years. Amanda is at the front desk is a sweetheart! She’s kind and professional. She fixed a few concerns I had by making sure everything ran smoothly and by connecting us with a therapist that’s the ‘right fit’! Thanks a bunch! 🥰

I went to Pittington Counseling services from ages 14-19. During Covid I switched to over the phone sessions with my counselor. I was doing bi weekly appointments when all of a sudden I could no longer get ahold of the counselor I had been seeing for the last 5 years. No answers to my texts or calls, no explanation from the company whatsoever. As an autistic individual this was very difficult for me to handle. Not to mention the fact that I needed counseling at that time more than I ever have. Very disappointed that the counselors can just ghost their patients with no regard to their mental health. I’ve been raw dogging my autism since then because it’s so scary trying to find another therapist knowing I could be put through turmoil again. Thanks for stressing out a young autistic woman beyond belief. Hope you guys are happy. It was great until the company ghosted me no explanation. Not a great way to handle the mentally ill in my opinion. Don’t bother apologizing it means nothing I just want everyone to know what they are signing up for.

Don't bring your child here. I had my child tested and was told she had no learning disabilities and that her IQ was average. I took her elsewhere and they discovered she is twice exceptional which is the opposite. I am FINALLY able to get help for her. This place would have totally let her fall through the cracks. Not happy that I wasted my time at Pittington, don't waste yours.

Zero integrity and questionably prejudicial. Had a child in crises. After spending 7 months of navigating throw the Fl insurance companies obstructionism I was put in contact with Pittington Counseling Services. After completing the intake paperwork, I was schedule to do a parent intake for the child. The office was too far to make the commute, so a video call was schedule. An emergence arose with the child, so I had to leave the house. Called to do the intake but was told my insurance would not allow for an intake over the phone it had to be done via video. The office manager told me that Fl State Law having something to do with Covid 19 stated no phone intake were allowed.
As if the State of Fl created any laws restricting people during the pandemic was not an obvious lie, I reached out to my State Representatives constituent services officer who confirmed there was not State law forbidding a phone intake for mental health.
Spoke with the Insurance company they told me they have no such policy. The insurance representative said no phone intake makes no logical sense. How does see me help them understand the answers to their questions? People do not hear with their eyes.
Reached out to Pittington Counseling Services after losing my child to have the office manager tell me after confronting her “it’s a Pittington Counseling Services and insurance company requirement.” She reiterated the state law lie again.
The only logical sense for a video or in person parent intake for a child is to be able to see the parent, thus making decision based on their race or other minority status. Of course this is Florida, discrimination is common.

Wonderful practice! All staff is Knowledgeable, Warm And easy to talk to. Very helpful. I can see us using their services for long period of time and my first choice for The future.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are incredibly disorganized and have no regard to your time or schedule. The only good thing to come from Pittington was a counselor that we met...but she's no longer there because this place is awful. Do yourself a favor and find a real therapist....not a McDonald's of counseling.
