It looks like Dr. Gonzalez has a lot of good reviews. This review is specifically for Colleen Hosp . Avoid this provider at all costs. We took our son there today for a psychological evaluation. This was our first visit. We were taken back into the room with the doctor who began what I would call interrogating my son. He came there willingly to get help with some severe mental health issues he was experiencing. He has PTSD from a bad car accident and she kept asking him. Why are you not looking in my eyes? and he explained to her he has social anxiety, and later she goes “I’m not giving you any meds.” We did not come there for meds. We went there for an evaluation. She then goes on telling him how his life should be at his age at 25 years old. Then she shames him for not having food to eat not being able to afford food. She kept doing this for at least 20 minutes. She also said that she does not treat anyone who smokes, marijuana or vapes. So if you fit into either one of those categories this is definitely not the place for you. My son is prescribed medical marijuana. Because he wasn’t answering the questions due to his mental health disorder the way that she wanted him to. She threatened to have us leave her office on a few occasions. Finally, my son stood up and said he was going to willingly leave due to the way, he was being treated. She jumped up out of her chair and started yelling at both of us get out get out. I’m calling the police. She then proceeded to call the police , my son had already left the building willingly. She caused severe emotional distress to my son who is suffering with a mental health condition. She showed absolutely no care. She actually escalated the situation. Even the police when they arrived agreed that it was absolutely appalling how she acted. RUN! Do not walk away from this provider if you or your loved one is experiencing any type of mental health issue. This woman will gaslight you, criticize you, belittle you, and cause you severe emotional distress and maybe even have you thrown out or possibly arrested from her practice. Her license should be revoked! I will be making the appropriate complaints to her Insurance Company and medical board. Shame on you Dr. Host. Its people like you that give mental healthcare a bad name, and cause good people not to seek care.

Dr. Gonzales-Canal is the only doctor I’ve seen in Florida for some help who actually cares about my recovery and bad patches too. I would recommend him to anyone having some issues with their psychological and mental health. Very smart and caring doctor.
