Update: This company responded to my dispute of the $75.00 no show fee informing Discover that I was a no show and that I never spoke to anyone at Psychological Services of Jacksonville about waiving the fee. Blatant lies. Discover has recommended that I contact Consumer affairs and the Attorney general's office. I will be contacting them as well as Senior Legal Services. I believe this to be a standard practice for this company since they will not agree to see you unless you put a credit/debit card on file with them. I posted a warning/review on Google and I will be posting a warning/review on all social media platforms. I hope to make them regret stealing/cheating me out of $75.00. // Please do not use Psychological Services of Jacksonville in Orange Park for your mental and emotional needs. My first appointment (Feb 28,2024) with them they said I was late and refused services and then charged me $75.00 for the pleasure of being refused services. Second visit they made me wait 35 minutes for my 1 hour appointment. Making the appointment after me wait 35 minutes. A month later (March 2024) I received a bill for the no show fee of $75.00 from the Feb 28, 2024. I immediately called the office and experienced the following over the next month; call disconnects, no one answers the phone, put on hold then call drops, countless messages taken for manager to call me back no return call, etc. Finally, after a month of calling I get to speak to the manager and stayed on the phone with her for over an hour and she agrees to waive the no show fee. After that I never received a bill, a phone call, letter or any other communication from them. I'm thinking issue resolved. But I was wrong. They pulled a slick one and charged my card $75.00 on November 15, 2024. Same thing again when calling their office. No answer, disconnects and the office manager is never available. This unprofessional group of mental/emotional care givers couldn't care less about your mental/emotional stability based on my personal experience with them. do not use Psychological Services of Jacksonville in Orange Park for your mental and emotional needs. This company is a joke. All they care about is money. Mental health is NOT their top priority.

I had a scheduled virtual appointment on a (back in May) Monday at 6pm. I called Monday morning to cancel due to an unexpected family emergency (1st time this happened). At that time, I was NOT informed of a cancellation charge of $75.00. I was preciously booked for another appointment and the day of the new virtual appointment, the therapist, office staff, or any rep from their office never got on the virtual visit. I decided not to discontinue using this office due to their lack of communication.

Fast forward 6 months later, I was charged $150.00 for "end of the year close out" per Heather/ Office manager.
Now, here are my issues with this company and their operating policies.

1. You must sign a credit card auth form( if you don't sign it, you won't be seen per Toni(office personnel).

2. Apparently the only form of communication is email. Per Heather(Office manager), it's not her problem that the email communication was sent to my spam. "Not her problem" she says!

3. Since getting paid is your main priority, why not have someone get on the virtual visit and inform the patient of the outstanding balance or simply call the patient prior to the appointment and inform them that they can NOT be seen with an outstanding balance(which I was completely unaware of). That makes too much sense... instead, no one shows up for the virtual appointment and then the office charges a 2nd $75.00 for THEIR no show!! I showed for the virtual appointment. How hard would it have been to get on the virtual visit and say "outstanding balance, please pay or this appointment will be cancelled.

Heather is clearly concerned with getting any type of money out of you vs ensuring patient satisfaction and mental stability or clarity.

As an active duty service women, I'm absolutely frustrated and completely disappointed with the lack concern for my mental health. I tried to resolve this by speaking with the office manager(Heather).

I will warn any potential new patients... BE CAREFUL! This practce is ABOUT GETTING MONEY!

This place was good until the old front desk people left. If you have to schedule something that will work for you don't bother, they don't like it when they have to do extra work.

After spending an entire day, searching, and researching a therapist who caters to my needs, I came across Dr. Fox name a few times. I called the office to schedule an appointment with her. After giving information about myself, and filling out the forms that were sent to me by email. I then received a call to schedule an appointment, only to be told that Dr. Fox has a waiting list for patients and that it would be a while before I can see her. I don’t understand why this information wasn’t offered to me when I called the first time wanting to see Dr. Fox. Instead of allowing me to see who I feel will be most helpful for me, they’re trying to put me with a therapist they want for me. Isn’t the point of therapy is to find someone who offers what I need? Her profile clearly states that she’s taking new clients, but when you call their office, you’re told she’s not. Either she’s taking new clients or she’s not. It’s very misleading and was definitely a waste of my time! On the positive side, the staff were very nice. Ugh… Back to my search

My therapist is welcoming and very helpful. I've been seeing her several months now and she is one of my favorite therapists. I have chronic mental health issues, so I have seen several over the course of many decades. I highly recommend this office. The office staff is cordial and helpful, especially Donna, who checks out patients when they are finished. She always engages patients in conversation and makes them feel welcome.

I went to this Dr after having over 20 back/neck surgeries. The only thing she wanted to talk about was how I looked. She’s a large woman, over weight, and I’m not over weight so she just focused on this. Worse experience I’ve had by far. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone.she needs some help herself as she’s very over weight.
