We used Rachel a long time ago. I left every session feeling unheard and like I was the problem. She felt biased against me. It’s taken some years to finally get to the root of my marriage issues because she along with my husband convinced me I just wasn’t asking for my needs to be met. I spent a year and a half telling her that I have tried asking every which way and he wouldn’t hear me. I begged her to listen to our conversations so she could see what I was experiencing and was told it wouldn’t help. Because of that she never recognized that my husband took every request as an insult and we never could work on that. Further, i called her begging for help when I found out I was pregnant with an unexpected pregnancy, she never called us back. Therapy with her left me questioning reality and on the verge of suicide.

She has challenged me to be more considerate of myself and to acknowledge the weight of the things I'm going though, and not just let everyone else's expectations make me feel unworthy. She helped me out of a very dark time in my life with a traumatic and abusive relationship that had me questioning my own reality. I'd be a shell of a person if it hadn't been for her support. She guided me to the answers that were already in me and supported my decisions every step of the way.

I have been seeing Rachel for about 6 months now. She is a wonderful, clear talking, tell it like it is, strong, knowledgeable therapist. She has helped me think through some confusing situations and face things I have put off for years. I plan on a long professional relationship with Rachel. She's not qualified for couples, people that have experienced trauma, or major life events. Based on my experience she silenced me and didn't want to hear about the problem that I came in to talk about. She will listen to what she feels comfortable hearing and will not have much to say after if it's something too much for her to handle. Maybe she's better with children or people that have minor issues going on. The price is average, but you're better off finding a better therapist and spending a little more.

I would like to write a review about Dr.Polack services but she haven't returned my calls after I first spoke with her. We we're suppose to schedule an appointment. I was told to text her but she haven't responded to my numerous messages. She seemed really nice when I spoke with her but since then she haven't responded to my messages or calls. It's disheartening when you're trying to get help for your marriage and the person that said they would try and help doesn't respond. A simple text,email ,or call would go a long way.
