Ratio Staffing has been fantastic. Being able to work for different types of preschool programs has helped me grow even more as the teacher. The schools have been very professional and welcoming to me and the other substitutes of Ratio Staffing. Paul Buckley has made his platform very simple and efficient for schools to contact me and schedule me to come substitute at the schools. I would recommend Ratio Staffing to teachers looking to be substitutes and for preschool programs in need of a teacher, whether it be for a day, week, or more of a long-term commitment.

In short, Ratio Staffing (RS) is wonderful! My experience with RS and its founder Paul has been quite flawless to be honest. I was looking for a substitute preschool teacher agency to figure out which type of preschool I fit in the best. Paul contacted me through Indeed and I decided to give it a go. I got a chance to sub in many great preschools - some I didn't even know about until the schools contacted me for sub jobs and those schools turned out to be magnificent. I gained quite a bit of knowledge and experience working in different schools and gave me a perspective of where I would fit in the best. I even acquired my current permanent job indirectly through RS and Paul.

The platform RS used was very simple. All I had to do is fill out my availability form (sent through text/email by Paul) every day to keep my availability updated so the schools can look at the list if they need to book a sub teacher. It would be great if there is a weekly form aside from the daily form - for people who already know their weekly schedule, so they wouldn't have to fill out the form every day. I'm not sure how feasible it is - but being able to view a list of schools that need sub teachers for the day/week would also be helpful and help the sub teachers to be proactive and initiate contact with the schools. I'm aware how busy it is to work in preschools - and sometimes either it slips their mind that they need to call a sub teacher or they get distracted with other matters that they don't have time to call for a sub until much later. If the sub teachers can view the list - they can make the first move to contact the schools for a potential sub job.

I will be forever grateful that I had a chance to work with RS and Paul. Paul is a kind-hearted and caring "boss" who checks on you every now and then to make sure that you're doing okay. He's very professional and absolutely knows what he's doing since he himself was in the field. I highly recommend RS and wish everyone the best!
