I reached out to Ashley for a therapy technique called A.R.T. last year. I had been struggling with chronically high cortisol that was unaffected by changes in lifestyle, diet or supplementation. Having run out of options, my functional wellness & nutrition coach suggested that I do some trauma therapy work because patients who have chronically high cortisol often have unresolved childhood trauma. I had my session with Ashley and I didn’t really know what to expect. I was glad to discover that this therapy technique didn’t make me go wading into the deep end of the trauma pool but rather helped me work through it and bring more peaceful, resolved feelings. Usually therapy isn’t easily quantifiable with data, but for me this time it was. My bloodwork following therapy came back and my cortisol had corrected all the way to the lower end of the normal range!
