I have to say everyone here has been beyond excellent and caring. I couldn't ask for a better place to come. I've exceeded in everything I've set forth to do. Thank you so much to each and everyone one of you that's been a part of my journey.

First treatment center. So not a lot to compare too. I will say, the therapists and psychiatrists were amazing. I think river oaks problem is it's systems are archaic. Meaning, double charting for the nurses handing out medications for patients. Software working against those nurses instead of for them. This bogs down the lines and frustrates patients. They are understaffed as far as techs. So when they are bombarded by new intakes. Quite frankly it's a mess. And newly clean addicts are like a raw nerves already. So it's a breeding ground for confrontation. Maybe some more training in de-escalation for the entire staff. And allowing the therapists another option when it comes to having a person leave group that is hijacking and making the group miserable. I left many groups because of these people, and therapists not being allowed to just send them somewhere else. For me personally. There was a Change in management while I was there. So hopefully they get these things worked out. I gave it 4 because I feel the staff are under paid and overwhelmed. If I based my score on management and systems. It would have gotten 1 star. They need consistency and a overhaul on there entire system IMO.

I should add that I have also been on the healthcare field since 1994.

Very nice detox and residential facility. They have great staff, excellent food and caring nurses to help in the beginning. It was a pleasure to get to go to such a nice treatment center I’m honestly thinking about going back again and trying it one more time. You can have your phones and if you don’t have one then they have phones for you to use at any time. Great rehab I recommend to anyone really wanting help this is the best place to start.

This place is what you make it. People in general may have mixed feelings about it but no rehab is perfect but this place can equip you with all the tools you need while in treatment and once you leave. If you're serious about your recovery and really want to change your life this is the place to be. The staff treated me with respect and dignity and I never felt I was less than because of my addiction. Mrs. Lorell and Gigi (staff members) really went above and beyond to assist me in any way they could. This place will always have a special place in my heart. I hope I can give back one day

I had the pleasure of touring Karen’s facility and was truly impressed. The 160-bed facility felt calm and spacious, with beautiful walking paths and soothing water fountains. It never felt crowded, and there was always staff nearby in case of an emergency.

Karen personally showed me around, explaining their services and introducing me to her team. It’s clear she is deeply committed to ensuring residents receive the care they need. I left feeling confident in the compassionate, high-quality care provided here.

I thank God for the rehabilitation that was received at this facility but they are so backwards. From the text to the lying doctors that you speak to and think that you have clarification with when it comes to your own case plan just to be surprised with discharge date that take you by surprise. Soon as you taper they're ready to keep you out to feel good. It's so unorganized with the scheduling of your nicotine products out of luck
Other than that if you come in and do what you need to do to sober up it is a good structure when it comes to the program that they have throughout the day. But some of the texts are very nonchalant when it comes to the urgency of different of patient. They're insensitive so are some of the nurses. It's like they like the knowledge of addiction.
Most of them are not recovering addicts which really shows in the way they handle us. Other than that it's all good because you have to come in with a made-up mind and not let these things distract you you will be good.
Once again I am truly thankful for this place because this will be my last detox facility unless I'm coming in here to minister to the other patients. I thank God that he met me right here as I got on my knees and surrendered everything to him. But if you're looking for the aid of staff and nurses you need to go somewhere else. Thank God I made up mine was present and I even felt the difference as soon as I got here.
I have visited other detox I had just a little bit more to offer, like snacks you didn't have to purchase, Vapes and cigarettes that you can buy and keep and have all throughout the day instead of on set days. They also had community cigarettes at other detoxes and please snacks for the patience but that is not found here. They are purchasing $3 wholesale fume Vapes that have not been installed since 2019 and selling them for $20 a pop. You may get a good day and a half, out of The vape itself. It is price gouging to the utmost. But I am once again thankful. Just be aware of any facility that you're treated like an individual and not some kind of problem to society.
Make your voice heard because it's your life and your society.. do the work and you will be fine whether it's here anywhere else.

A great place if you give it a chance to let the program work for you. Also clean, great food options and provides laundry service. From the Doctors, Nurses the Therapists, Psychiatrists Case Managers, the TA’s staff (especially) help in making it an effective enjoyable environment for the patients. They have a functioning gym that the TA’s help with any questions on how the exercise equipment works. Everyone is polite in creating a positive atmosphere for your recovery needs. Thank You very much in helping me live a healthy, happy, lifestyle.

Wonderful place to get treatment!! The doctors, nurses, therapist, case managers, treatment assistants and even down to the housekeeper, cafeteria workers, and maintenance staff treat patients with the utmost respect. I felt cared for and treasured. It is my third time coming to this treatment center. I have been to others before and end up not staying. The other centers could not compare to the level of care that I received at River Oaks. I would highly recommend this place for yourself or a loved one. My stay was like a retreat while getting educational information, survival skills, and professional therapy to help me overcome my addiction. I never felt judged after returning the 2nd and 3rd time. This place has been a blessing in my life. I would have never returned if they did not treat me with dignity each time.
