Terrible therapist that will tell you other patients’ information and ask for your help to handle them. There’s a reason the Zocdoc reviews are no longer visible. Saw him for 3 years (every week) and almost every visit included him yawning in boredom, talking about Russia and/or war, or OTHER patients. There was one time someone in his home opened the his door and started talking to him during a session. So unbelievably unprofessional. I’ve seen roughly 12 other therapists in my life and he was by far the worst—not because he wasn’t a good fit, but rather wanted me to help him with other patients. He always talked negatively about them, and it made me wonder what he told other patients about myself. I’ve been told my numerous other therapists to report him but haven’t gotten the chance.

So, a lot of times people think "I don't need a therapist, my problems are not that serious..." (maybe they are?) or "I wouldn't even know what to talk about or where to start!" (start with anything, like "I had to put my dog down this week...") or "therapists are for weak people who can handle their own problems!, don't you have any friends?" (what is you weren't taught good coping skills, or your friends/family ARE the people you need help with) But the reality is it's for everyone. It really gives you the opportunity to speak to someone who ISN'T emotionally attached to you and isn't there to judge you. My therapist always says "No matter what, I'm always here for you!", and more importantly it's a check-in however often you need it. I love that I can literally talk to my therapist as I'm working via telemedicine, so you don't even have to ask for 2 hours off work to drive to an office and sit face to face if you don't want to. You have to take charge of your mental health, nobody can do that FOR you, but there are certainly people who can help get you there.

Ryan was really insightful and had good input about our situation. We had our first family session today and we are looking forward to scheduling an appointment with him in the future.

I had a good first session! Going to try out a few more to see if my therapist is the right fit.

Listened attentively. Offered good advise. Connected with stories. He never attempted to intrude with his own thoughts. Thank you.
