Best experience ever. It was super amazing. I loved my cabin leaders! Thank you, Justin and Matthew! Go Stellars Jay. Anyways, one problem: Stellar’s Jay had no bathroom. But it is fine! The night walk to go use the bathroom is INSANE. the stars are so cool. And don’t even get me started on my naturalist. Sundog is the best. He made my time so much worth it. I loved hanging out with my color group. I miss my cabin mates from different schools cause I’ll most likely never see them again, but it’s fine. I went October 14 to October 18 of 2024. Best week of my life. Once again, Thank you Outdoor Education!

I was here this week, OH MY GOD I'll NEVER forget this place.
The hikes are fun and the occasional banana slug hypes up your cabin mates and maybe you too. Outdoor ed has a lot of awards, you and your cabin or table can get them if you work very hard for them. Their stand on food waste works very well! You'll most likely cry when you have to leave like I did, because this place is enjoyable and unforgettable. Too bad I had to leave a day early because of Valentines' Day.

My daughter went to Outdoor Ed 2 months ago, and this is what she says:

Outdoor Ed was amazing!!!!! I truly don't know where to begin

Okay, I'm going to start with all the naturalists and staff. My favorite were Lupine and Tide but all the naturalists were amazing. The cabin leaders were very nice, and didn't get mad easily. The one tiny problem about the cabin was that it was very small and the bathroom was very tiny.

Second, all the food was DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! For a camp in the middle of the woods, I have to compliment the kitchen staff

Outdoor Ed was an experience I will never forget. I loved joining all the clubs, and I actually helped start the kiss-a-crab club. I kissed a banana slug twice, and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It was really cool to see the giant redwood trees, and go to the beach. I was actually lucky enough to see 5 seals!

So in conclusion, Outdoor Ed, you are amazing. Send your kids here, as it is TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!!!!

How can I forget this amazing experience! No child should miss this! I went in 2000 23 years ago 🙂 today just dropped of my daughter on her way to live this exact experience. Nature, banana slugs, the FOOD was amazing. I feel bad for children that missed out due to pandemic. But it is understandable as well safety should always be a priority. What better than children bonding with nature away from parents and learning independence through an educational experience.

Life is an empty box…you get out of it what you put into it. I attended science camp in 1985 as a student and then again as a counselor in 1991 because I wanted to relive the camp experience only as a young adult and true to form I did. We did not have reviews like this to sway us into going or not but this camp made a major imprint on my life so much that I went on to teach science and now I run a non-profit helping others transform their life.

I would not have wanted to miss the food and the cabins for anything in the world. No matter the conditions of a place and this place was great, there will always be those who are just upset at their life so they smash others—— RUN from those people. Science camp is not heaven but for me it was a little bit of heaven on earth 🌍 and I would not have changed anything about it.

I went in 2019 and I had the worst experience. Whatever you do don’t send your children here. So many ppl got sick, the cabin leaders were so mean, there was no heating. I was bodyshamed when we took showers. It’s truely a horrible place. Everyone talked about how fun this place was but it has the worst conditions ever. Also not to mention the floors were so disgusting in the cabin. FILLED WITH DIRT. There was a bunk bed in our cabin that was broken. If you got on top it would swing. I cant believe this place is still a thing.
