Two years ago, my partner of 10 years, with whom I'd relocated from Washington DC to Sarasota less than a year before, abruptly left the relationship. The good news is that I found Karen. Meeting with her once a week for 3 months helped me navigate through grief and anger, and shortly thereafter I met the love of my life! I am so grateful to Karen for her guidance, wisdom, and compassion. She helped me through a crisis that has led me to a much, much happier and healthier life. A month before my 70th birthday, I fell off my bicycle onto the road landing directly on my right elbow. My right arm, wrist and elbow were severely broken. Repairing it required three lengthy surgeries over two months and seven months of painful physical therapy. During this ordeal, I started experiencing debilitating anxiety, something new in my life. Moving from a very active life-style to one where I was unable to leave my house was traumatic. My doctor and my occupational therapist suggested I see a counselor, something else I had never done. My good fortune was a recommendation made by a close friend that I make an appointment with Karen Hildreth, her grief counselor following the loss of her husband. Karen was the final piece in the puzzle to put me back together! Her kind, caring and deep understanding of what I was experiencing and her constant encouragement allowed me to heal! To this day, both my husband and I are so grateful to her and appreciate both her knowledge and her skill in treating me which lead to my success. I recommend her 100%!
