Dr Segel and his staff are truly amazing - and the information they EMPOWER you with can change lives for the better. My family had the blessing to work with Dr Segel to complete educational and pysch testing for both our boys and the experiences exceeded our expectations in both cases.

The results the comprehensive testing, combined with the in-depth review and recommendations from Dr Segel himself have allowed our family to help our boys better understand how their minds work, what challenges they individually might face, and various solutions for overcoming life's hurdles.

We originally did the testing for our older son last year after he had a hard time in middle school. After Dr Segel's testing and after implementing his recommendations, the change has been night and day! We were so happy with the outcome that we did the testing for our younger son this year - and again discovered helpful new information we are eager to apply.

Dr. Segel is a fantastic psychologist located right here on Lyons and Hillsborough Blvd. He is very easy to talk to, office is very comfortable; very relaxed setting, great office staff, Lisa, who makes you feel right at home too. Dr. Segel is a young guy, I'd say about 53. He has a heart of gold. He listens to you with an open mind, gives advice and/or ideas, sympathetic, open-minded, just a regular guy. If you need a psychologist, I Highly Recommend Dr. Segel. He truly is a great doctor and a wonderful guy. I've been to others in the past but, Dr. Segel is Number One. You will definitely not be Disappointed with Dr. Segel. He is the Best. And, is very easy to talk to, which is very important. Also, he's there for you in an emergency matter.

About 5 years ago we were suggested by the elementary school to get a Psychoeducational evaluation for our son. We had just moved from Central Florida to South Florida. Our son was experiencing bullying from the teacher that caused him to be mocked and bullied by his classmates. Dr. Goldstein did a very thorough evaluation, but she forgot taking into consideration the health of our son that was suffering. from recurrent allergies and frequent headaches. He was having recurring nightmares also which he didn’t have before (red flag). The elementary school never submitted back the questionnaire only the teacher. Our son was mislabeled as Aspergers because he was quiet and didn’t want to talk about his experience at school at that time. We were so confused by her diagnosis went to a neurologist and then to a developmental pediatrician that told us that her diagnosis was subjective and that our son wasn’t Aspergers. He just suffered from migraines and allergies and that unfortunately she didn’t help him cope with the emotional abuse he was experiencing at that school. She might have had the best intentions, but we learned that. Aspergers, Autism, ADD, ADHD, must be evaluated by a neurologist, and a developmental pediatrician only. Psychologists offer great support to children with special needs, but be careful they might unintentionally mislabel your kid.
