Pretty traumatic bilateral knee replacement surgery on a Wednesday that went 2.5 hours long. Therapy started at Select Physical Therapy on that Friday, three times a week, for the next 12 weeks. There is no practicable way that I can thank Jason and the entire staff at SPT for helping me get through a demanding and very exhausting recovery – and a very slow healing process. On the first day of therapy, I was shuffling with a walker and had nearly zero degrees of bend in either knee. After a course of 37 sessions, with some incredibly agonizing prone bending segments in the middle, I walked out on the last day with knee flexion that I hadn’t had in nearly 15 years. Fullest range of motion is still months away, but without the attentiveness, caring nature, compassion, empathy and the just generally great group of people at SPT, I know that my recovery would have been much, much longer. Quality care from a quality staff. If you have a choice in selecting a PT, choose SPT of Lighthouse Point.

As one ages, physical therapy is the best tool in your bucket for healthy living. Use it! My experience with this service at Select has incorporated technology and most importantly the Therapist, including Majic & Kassie. Jason and other colleagues have been supportive and helpful. Luis Camacho, PT is amazing! Although I went to him with a specific back pain in my midsection, but rather than just focusing on that he performed a thorough assessment in my first visit that brought up a discomfort snap I had in my groin area. So he targeted both in my subsequent visits, along with adding massage and work to my neck and traps since that was contributing to my back pain. He is super knowledgeable, detail-oriented and possesses wonderful bedside manner!
Luis also had me work with Kassie Tessitore, PT and she is amazing too! They both made me feel extremely comfortable and I felt as if I was chatting with a longtime friend in my hour long appointments with them.

I have been driving by Select Physical Therapy for years and I never really noticed it until I required rehab following my total knee replacement. The team at Select from the front desk to my amazing Physical Therapist Majik, have been encouraging, friendly, and professional. The progress you make with competent caring physical therapists augments the surgical procedure. I was a bit fearful starting the knee replacement road but truthfully it has been less painful thanks in large part to Select Physical Therapy team. Thank you for your caring attitude. I highly recommend Select Physical Therapy to anyone needing rehabilitation.
