It's unfortunate that I feel I'm in a position to have to post a negative review but I want other parents of teen girls to know what to expect with this therapist. Sheena is nice enough and my daughter was making progress with her. She liked her very much and had gotten to a point that she didn't need weekly therapy. One thing that Sheena failed at from the beginning was communication. Texting was how I'd get in touch with her to schedule appointments and it usually took 2-3 texts for her to respond. But she still responded and, again, we were making progress so even though she seemed very disorganized I let it slide because my daughter was doing well. After the holidays something happened to my daughter at school, something extremely serious to the point that the Sheriff's office was called to investigate, not to investigate my daughter but another student that had done something terrible to her. I texted Sheena right away explaining the situation and that my daughter needed to speak with her as soon as possible. I texted 3 more times and got no response any of those times. I've also emailed her with no response. So not only was my kid devastated about what happened she was devastated by being ghosted by her therapist. Teenagers have enough to deal with without also having an irresponsible and heartless therapist . My daughter needs to be in therapy but doesn't trust therapists now so in the long run Sheena did much more harm than good. I absolutely would not recommend her as a therapist.
