We were so lucky to find Shelley to perform an IQ test for our 4 year old son for a few private school applications! This is the first IQ test for him and we had no idea of how it would look like and how he would react to it. Shelley made the whole process so easy and carefree! She's responsive, quick and very professional throughout the process. Our son is shy with strangers and unfamiliar environment, so we brought this up with Shelley before the appointment day. Shelley reassured us that she has had a lot of experience with kids with different personalities and would try her best to make the environment and process as comfortable as possible for him. She truly nailed it! She's a really nice person with a soft tone and friendly vibe, which is critical for kids like my son to start building a bond. She explained the test to him in a very patient and cheerful way, which is also critical as my son quickly got interested in it and wanted to keep playing the "game". When we were done and about to leave, my son said he didn't want to leave, he wanted to keep playing haha. We are thankful for Shelley to turn the test into a fun game instead of a potentially bad experience. The turnaround time of her report was also really quick, and we are really pleased with the level of details in the report which clearly showcases his strengths and weaknesses. The report definitely helps us to understand our son better and it gives us recommendations of where we can focus on to help him grow further. We can't recommend Shelley enough. If you want to find a psychologist that's kind, friendly, patient and can bond quickly with kids, and professional and efficient with her work, she's the one!

We recently scheduled a WISC assessment with Shelley for our seven-year daughter who is applying to a local private school. We were so impressed by her service. My daughter is an introvert and it normally takes time for her to talk to others. Shelley is so friendly that my daughter loved playing "games" with her. That definitely made the assessment more pleasant as my daughter didn't think it was an assessment or a test. She did well. We are also impressed by Shelley's promptness and her comprehensive assessment report. There are a lot of details that help us to understand my daughter better. My daughter even read the report on her own and said she admires that Shelley is such a good writer and that she wants to learn writing from Shelley! Overall, Shelley is one of the best educational psychologists that we've ever seen. Thank you so much Shelley!

I cannot praise Shelley's expertise and approach enough! My son took the Stanford Binet V assessment with Shelley when he was 4.5, and had a great experience. Shelley's engaging, patient, and kind demeanor instantly resonated with my son, who can be reserved and slow to open up. Her ability to connect with him was remarkable, especially given his tendencies to withdraw. Shelley's skillful handling made a world of difference!
Fast forward to the present, my 4-year-old daughter recently completed her WPPSI-IV assessment with Shelley, and the experience was equally amazing. My daughter, like most kids her age, gets easily distracted and often exudes boundless energy, but Shelley effortlessly guided her through the tasks while maintaining focus. The fact that my daughter expressed wanting to return to see Shelley speaks volumes about the positive experience she had!
And on top of all that, I was really impressed by her lightning-fast turnaround time. It's very much appreciated.
If you're seeking an educational psychologist who not only excels in her field but also deeply cares about all her young clients, Shelley is the absolute best choice. Highly highly recommended!

We acquired the professional services of Ms. Shelley to conduct a cognitive evaluation of our 4-year-old daughter using the WPPSI-IV test. This evaluation aimed to determine her intellectual functioning and learning potential as part of our applications to several Bay Area schools.
Before the evaluation, Ms. Shelley was highly responsive to our emails and provided clear explanations about the evaluation process.
Ms. Shelley was friendly and welcoming during the evaluation, which made our daughter's experience very positive. The test itself lasted for one hour, during which we waited outside. Before we knew it, the evaluation was complete.
The evaluation results were provided to us on Christmas night, which was a pleasant surprise as we expected to receive the results after the holidays. The comprehensive report contained invaluable information about our daughter's learning capabilities. Along with the report, Ms. Shelley also scheduled a follow-up call to discuss the results and answer any questions we had.
In summary, we highly recommend Ms. Shelley for conducting a cognitive evaluation of your child. She provides a positive experience for your child, clear communication, and a comprehensive report with tailored recommendations for your child's learning strengths and capabilities.

I am a young adult in graduate school and I needed formal neuropsych testing in order to qualify for accommodations for exams. My psychiatrist referred me to Shelley, and I had an outstanding experience. She worked around my schedule, responded promptly, and gave me very fair pricing (the best I could find) for her services. I felt very listened to and very much trusted Shelley's judgment and expertise. I am so grateful to have worked with Shelley and I would recommend anyone in need of services for themselves or their children to work with her.

Shelley is HIGHLY recommend!
My little girl (age 4.5) need to take a WPPSI-IV test when we were applying a private school. We were lucky to find Shelley. She was very friendly, gracious and quick response from the very first contact by email and phone. Shelley was so patient with my girl and very proficient in how to communicated with the little girl that made her feel very comfortable through the whole test. She loved Shelley definitely!
Shelley was extremely efficient in carrying the report. The evaluation was quite thorough and comprehensive. Her report provided more than numbers and statistics but also the detailed illumination of child's strength and the guidance of how we could do best to support our child in future.
I was so impressed by her professional and willingness to help us. I recommended her service heartedly!

Shelley was recommended by a friend when we were applying to a private school that needed a WISC-V assessment. Shelley was patient with our 7 year old who had never taken any tests in person before (attends a progressive school) let alone an hours long assessment. She conducted the assessment at a park table and I suspect the child thought it was a fun camp activity instead of a formal test! Her comprehensive report was so much more than statistics and illuminated the child’s strengths and also articulated clearly and specifically how we could best support his growth and keep his curious mind positively engaged with his learning. We wish we had consulted her sooner! We will continue to work with Shelley to support our child’s wellness and development, highly recommend this child whisperer!
