I am so lucky to have found PACCC and the Sojourner Truth Child Development Center. They really stand out from other child-care centers. Their philosophy is so well-thought-out and implemented that both my child who attends there, AND the rest of our family, have benefitted from the way they do things.

Mary, the director, has shared with us PACCC's philosophy - from how to approach sharing and/or fighting over toys (it's genius), to ways to nurture my son's development through the way I relate to him. They way they tread children as WHOLE PEOPLE has made a huge difference for us, helping involve my toddler in his own care (e.g. "May I wipe your nose?" "May I check your diaper?") in a wonderful way. Instead of fighting against us, he works with us, trusts us, and is happy and centered, thanks to what I learned from PACCC in my informal conversations and parent-teacher conferences.

They also have parent breakfasts and other events to help the parents get to know each other and interact at the daycare more than just quick drop-offs and pick-ups. As someone new to this area I've felt so welcomed.

They even have FINANCIAL AID SCHOLARSHIPS - we qualified even though we don't qualify for traditional financial aid from the State.

I can't say enough good things about PACCC. Our son will be continuing with PACCC all through Preschool
