I had seen Brent Berman for a few years before he transferred to Southcoast for more money. I am a senior divorced woman with no children, husband or family. I had to move last August 23 after a 10 year rental which was very expensive and stressful. I work part time and find it hard as they tend to hire younger people. I have high BP problems and had a mini stroke in 2020. For the most part I had Brent to talk to as most people don't want to hear your problems and I looked forward to our sessions. "Dr"Schneurman was cold and was on the phone for minutes and prescribed my Klonopin. One Thursday Brent said" he would talk to me Monday "- we had twice a week sessions which I so desperately needed . Saturday I went to the Post Office as I have moved to various shares since last August also stressful to find a Dear John letter from them!! They did not follow the Rules of the Medical Association to give md 30 days of counseling till I Could find another NOT THAT I WOULD TALK TO THOSE HEARTLESS LOWLIFES. Brent knew I regretted not having children and had lost the children that were my ex husband's and that my Mother and a woman like a Mother to me died on Mother's Day and yet he was fine with the letter arriving Mother's Day weekend!! I think he did this under the directionof "Dr" Schneurman so he could keep his well paying job. We were also friendly sharing PERSONAL things about himself and his life. We were more than therapist and patient but he went along with this or maybe it was his idea. The reason they couldn't help me any more what about being THERE to lend an ear? I am in the process of reporting them for they broke rules."Abruptly ending therapy can cause patients to feel abandoned and miss the opportunity to solidify therapeutic gains. Ideally, therapy should be planned for and discussed openly, and termination should be an essential part of the treatment process. If you decide to end therapy suddenly, you can try these tips:
Meet with your therapist: Your therapist may want to meet with you to explore what was happening to you and to make sure you have support in place.
Avoid ending by text or email
Offer a final session: Use this session to review the work you've done and discuss past gains and future goals.
Refer clients to other resources: Let your client know about alternative sources of support, and refer them if appropriate.
Be careful not to make your client feel wrong

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE TWO I CAN NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT OTHERS IN THE PRACTICE BUT THEY ARE UNDER THE RULE OF "DR" SCHNEURMAN. I never had any closure as Brent said "talk to you Monday" knowing the letter was coming

Love this place they take their time to know you unlike any other psycharist or psychologist who rushed through things. Kate the psychologist is amazing, she always gave good advices and listen to your problem and always there to help you. Kathleen the psychiatrist nurse is the best too she spent at least 30 minutes to talk to you and see what medications work best for you/or need to adjust your dosage. They the best psychiatrist/psychologist group around.

Very knowledgeable and polite staff. Dr. Scheuermann listened to my concerns and gave me a proper plan of action. The office manager (Rachel I believe) is very polite every time I call. This office is a breath of fresh air compared to my previous experiences.
