I have gone to Steve for Structural Integration Therapy intermittently for the last 15 years - generally for neck and joint pain from repetitive stress (work related) and an old knee injury that has flared up with exercise and age.
Steve has a calming, peaceful energy and is a pleasure to be around - he is professional, positive, and very good at what he does.
I've always felt that the pain I was suffering , for which I would seek treatment, was addressed and resolved in a lasting way after a session. (This has not been the case with chiropractors I have seen in the past.)

I first saw Steve in early 2017. I had an injury six years prior that caused me to seek all kinds of treatment for chronic pain in my hips. Each type of therapy got me to a better place but never pain free. I started to hear about Rolfing as I worked with more advanced therapists, and finally someone referred me to Steve.

Each Rolfing session changes my body, and in good ways I never expected. I was seriously amazed at the changes I felt upon completing my first ten treatment sessions. I continued to see him about twice a year for re adjustments, going longer between visits, without pain. I just completed a 5 treatment session and I seriously cannot believe how healthy, strong and pain free my body feels. I am athletic and very active, and now enjoying the new found freedom I'm experiencing with my body. I never imagined I could feel this great again.

I started with Steve in 2015 to do The Rolfing Ten Series. I did not have any specific ailments at the time but I was curious about what Rolfing could offer, as I had heard of its many benefits. After the first session, I remember I was taken aback by how different my body felt. Immediately, it was evident that my bones felt more aligned and that it took less effort to stand upright. I felt a great surge in the amount of energy I had available to me. The rest of the Ten Series was just an amazing experience to witness. I had no idea there were so many areas of held tension that was compromising the structure of my body.

I have been back to see Steve over the years for when something does feel like it is awry. My most recent issue was that I had bought a new pair of hiking shoes and within one day of hiking, one of my legs felt like it was longer than the other. I hobbled around for a few weeks, tolerating the sense of imbalance before I reached out to Steve. He assessed the issue as a three-series and sure enough within three sessions, my leg and my gait feels completely normal!

I started out with Steve in San Francisco and with his new relocation in Sebastopol, I did not hesitate to visit him. The quality of his work is unparalleled. He demonstrates clear mastery of his modality and I always enjoy the conversations I have with him. He always demonstrates genuine interest and always offers very thoughtful insight. The combination of being a quality specialist and genuinely benevolent human is a rare gem indeed. You will find both in Steve!
