"My son was at a breaking point with his school, academically and socially. Every night he would break into tears and our family life was in the dumps. His life was so hard and we felt so helpless. A friend recommended Stowell and I eagerly began devouring the website and listening to the podcast on repeat. I liked everything I read and heard. I was convinced it would help my son….but California is a long way from where we live. We took the leap of faith and visited with Irene and went through the initial evaluation. It didn’t take 10 minutes of talking with Irene to decide to commit to Stowell.

His school had an hour and a half homework requirement each night and we knew we couldn’t do both school and Stowell. So we decided to homeschool and do our zoom during the day. The first phase was the most time consuming as well as the steepest learning curve. Our mornings were filled with Listening Programs and CLS exercises; the rest of the day we worked hard at homeschooling. It was honestly hard to see any progress. The second evaluation seemed a long way off.

One day, about three months in, my son did something he had never done on his own. He organized his bookshelf!! I was dumbfounded. It was a little light in the darkness. It gave me the courage to continue!

My hardworking boy graduated the first phase and we celebrated the “little” big things like finishing PATH and finishing modules in The Listening Program.

The second phase, AMPS, has been much more challenging for him. He was very discouraged at the beginning but Jesus, Lauren, and Kristina have been SO amazing with him! They have so much more patience than I could ever have and have given him so much confidence. On top of everything else they do, they have also worked on his negative self-talk and when is an appropriate time to talk during sessions. He loves his zoom time with each of them.
My son likes Stowell so much he is already starting to get sad about it ending. Thanks for giving me back my happy boy!

I know he is not finished yet, but his progress has been remarkable. Thank you!"

My son is autistic and is struggling with his school works, behaviors and living skills. He has been with Stowell for about 10 months, and we all could feel his progress in almost all areas. Nice and professional staffs!

We've only been going to Stowell for a few months, but we've already seen improvement in our daughter's reading and learning endurance. She loves her clinicians, especially Joshua. The Center is very responsive and I appreciate their holistic approach, which welcomes the feedback and involvement of her regular school teachers. I also like that they are focused on a PERMANENT solution, not just a quick fix nor a therapy or drug that is long-term and ongoing. Our daughter said that when we have completed our time at Stowell, she wants to start all over because she likes it so much.

Stowell Learning Center has done an incredible job with our daughter. Her vocabulary has expanded, and her conversation skills have increased. We couldn't be happier with the work Mellissa, Rachel and Irene have done with our daughter. Our daughter had a speech assessment with a provider within our insurance company and goals were created. Four months late she began speech services with this provider and our daughter had already exceeded her goals and new goals were required. The only thing that had changed from her initial assessment to her start was her work at Stowell Learning Center. Thank you, Stowell Learning Center.

We spent 6 months with Stowell Learning Center and saw a significant improvement in terms of language and comprehension of our son. The clinician we worked with, Emily, is very professional, attentive and patience. She was able to build a good connection with our son even through online sessions. We had a great experience also with the manager of the site, Irene, who was very flexible and helpful with our requests. We definitely recommend anyone who is looking for professional support for their kids.

I can't say enough good things about Stowell. My son had a rough 2 years with dyslexia, between misdiagnosis, lack of school support and the pandemic. I found Stowell in the midst of trying to homeschool, I was desperate to help him. I stumbled on SLC, during the pandemic they were the only ones I could find helping kids in person. He made such a complete turnaround and his moral, attitude and reading improved drastically. We followed their program and I was able to put my son back into his private school 8 months later! He was reading for fun and keeping up with his class. Rachel was/is the best, patient and good with kids, all while putting gentle pressure on me the parent to keep up with his at home assignments. This school year my other son was also diagnosed with dyslexia, so we didn't hesitate at all to put him in Stowell. It has been worth every penny. Their system works, and we are so relieved and grateful. There is hope and help for your struggling child. My only regret, I wish we had found Stowell sooner.

Stowell is an excellent program which targets the root cause of your child’s learning challenges. It was transformative for my 11 year old who had auditory processing issues. It has resulted in better academic performance but also social interaction, as her ability to process verbally is quicker and better. I would recommend Stowell and our clinician Taylor to anyone looking to help their child.

Stowell Learning Center and their amazing clinicians, especially Melissa Anderson, have done wonders for our 13 year old who has a myriad of learning disabilities. She does such a great job of tailoring their activities to help work on all the areas that he has needed to improve in, while also partnering with us to come up with the best plans to help our son achieve his best.
