I’ve worked with Karen for about a year now. I’m a Cross Country and Track athlete who originally came to address my calf issues that have since dissipated. Even after helping to eliminate my original problem, Karen has helped to correct many other issues including engaging and strengthening my glutes, realigning my hips with exercises and more this has also assisted in my jump to the next level in college athletics. Karen at Synergy Sports Medicine is fantastic! Four months ago we thought my daughter’s USA gymnastics career was in jeopardy because of back pain and loss of mobility. She was frustrated with her lack of healing progress despite rest and drs visits. Then, she started with Karen, and she’s had a remarkable recovery. Not only is she not in pain anymore, her performance at the gym has soared! This weekend she became a Florida level 9 State Champion on the floor exercise and qualified for Region 8 USAG Championships! She’s continuing her work with Karen and still improving every day. After having 2 major surgeries, one of which left my left leg partially numb, I had faithfully done all of the rehab but still was walking with a waddle. I had one session with Karen in which she assessed my entire body and taught me a few exercises and breathing techniques. I walked normally across the room that day and have been walking normally since! I am now able to walk longer without pain or fatigue. I never thought I’d walk like this again! Karen has changed my walk and in turn, my quality of life!

I had done extensive research before scheduling an appointment with Karen. At first, I believed that I would have to fly to Lincoln, Nebraska for an appointment at PRI. I was pleasantly surprised to find a practitioner in Gulfport. My appointment with Karen was more informative than I imagined. She is very knowledgeable and skilled at analyzing the body and my movements. I learned so much about my posture and exercises I need to do to relieve pain. I am looking forward to my next appointment.

Karen is wonderful. She's very knowledgeable, she knows what she's doing. I have been to Two other PT's for my sacroiliac joint issue and then I learned about PRI specialists on youtube which lead me to Synergy Sports. I've had more progress in 1 visit with Karen than I did multiple visits at other PT's. That's not to discount the other therapists, My issues just happened to go deeper than their training could help me with. It's been a great experience thus far, and I look forward to growing stronger and getting balanced again. It has also helped open me emotionally on my most recent visit. I was driving home after the appointment and was singing in the car and it felt easier to sing again. And I just started to cry. It feels good getting connected again to the parts of myself I didn't even know were lost. (And thats coming from a very self aware person) Thanks a million Karen. Go for it guys she's worth every penny.
