I went to see Dr Dsurney for a va disability exam for ptsd. I just want all of you to know that Dr Dsurney specifically told me and my witness that he was not here to help me. He tries to confuse you and he will keep asking the same question until he hears what he wants to here. He showed no compassion what so ever. In my opinion he is a hired gun paid to say no and take benefits away No matter what! Proof i had a c&p examination for ptsd by ves on July 9 2024 and I was still diagnosed with 70%ptsd. I go see Dr Dsurney on the 20th of September 2024 and a miracle happened he said I'm cured i no longer have service connected ptsd. This Dr needs to be investigated and removed from evaluating veterans period. What an awfull thing to say to a disabled veteran " I'm not here to help you".

I underwent an evaluation with Dr. John Dsurney as part of my Veterans Affairs (VA) compensation and pension claim process. I have a 12.5-year service record in the U.S. Army, including four combat deployments, and consulted Dr. Dsurney specifically for a PTSD diagnosis.

While I hold the medical profession in high regard, my experience has led me to question the accuracy and thoroughness of Dr. Dsurney's diagnosis. My extensive military background includes near-death experiences and the ethical stress of making life-and-death decisions. Given this context, I find it necessary to understand the criteria he used to assert that I do not have PTSD—especially given the manner in which the diagnosis was communicated to me ("You do not have PTSD," delivered without nuance).

This experience should serve as a cautionary tale for any veteran or individual with similar life experiences. The implications of this diagnosis are significant, impacting my VA claim and potentially affecting the benefits to which I may be entitled. Consequently, this affects my future quality of life. I hope this review encourages Dr. Dsurney to reflect on the impact of his practice, especially on those grappling with complex mental health challenges after serving their country.

Saw Dr. Dsurney for a NeuroCog screen for the FAA. Good experience. Dr. Dsurney was professional, thorough and communicated effectively throughout the process. He was never in a hurry to get through the appointment and we spent considerable extra time to ensure thorough and consistent testing results.

Advice: make sure your phone is on silent, if they ask for it tell them you left it in your car (they can't search you), and make sure you record this poor excuse of a "doctor".

Preface: 1) I grew up among doctors. Both sides of the family had them. It was annoying, but I'm not unfamiliar. 2) I've seen about a dozen mental healthcare professionals over the course of 25 years now.

Setting: on this hack's desk is a small stone carving aimed directly at where the patient is asked to sit and it reads: "Everyone brings joy into this office; some when they enter, some when they leave."

This is what passes for humor in this "doctor's" office that the VA has deemed appropriate to diagnose Veterans with PTSD and a myriad of other mental issues.

Experience: Kept repeating questions and changing the way he worded them to box me into answering the way he wanted me to answer. Got audibly and visibly agitated when I wouldn't answer the way he was pushing me to answer.

Conclusion: First time I ever left a mental healthcare provider feeling attacked and drained. Worst, most unprofessional medical encounter I have ever been subjected to. And I was an Active Duty Infantry Marine.

Dr. is kind of creepy like another reviewer said. You'll see. Biggest concern is that he doesn't listen. He asked me a question and I answered yes and explained the answer. He said I said no, and VA claim was denied. He evaluates pilots. Anyway, he gets extra money from the VA to deny claims in my opinion.
