Savanah. Is ABSOLUTELY! Amazing. I've never had a massage therapist be so detailed on working on my upper back muscles. She was very meticulous, could feel when there was tightness or a knot and worked it out slowly. She uses the perfect amount of pressure. I went the second time within a week and will continue on a regular schedule.

I was looking for help to progress my labor. My care team swore by Rebecca and how helpful her acupuncture care was for them. They were not wrong, about 4 hours or so after her care I was in full labor. Rebecca's care was very holistic. She not only did modality care but also internal care. She made the environment warm, used essential oils, dimmed the lights, helped me through my occasional labor waves, used acupuncture and talked me through my holdbacks or the fears that most likely affected my delayed progression. I feel so grateful for her help. It was such a staple part of our birth story and I will confidently reach out the next time around and in moments in between labor needs. As a first time mom labor was so mysterious no matter how many videos I watched, birth stories I listened to and books I read. I feel as though it was really important to be able to have a solid care team to support you in such an experience and Rebecca was one of those amazing people who helped bring our daughter safely to us. I definitely mention Rebecca and her care whenever anyone asks me what helped during that time. If you are looking for effective and patient/person focused care Rebecca is the one to go to.

Before I came to Rebecca at the Healing House I was feeling completely wrung out; my nervous system was running haywire, my anxiety was wearing me down, and my body was hurting and tired from arthritis pain and blood sugar spiking and dropping. I had been using Western medicine and talk therapy for over a decade and not getting the results I needed and wanted. But within a couple of weeks I could feel a dramatic shift with the herbs and accupuncture. Every day taking the herbs I felt like I just had more and more in the tank. I noticed myself steadily feeling more grounded in my body and self. The surges of anxiety just softened and lessened over time while my capacity to navigate it when it arose was being strengthened. And over the three and half months I became less and less aware of the symptoms that I came to see her for. Then when I broke my foot, we directed the treatments to that. The hospitals and doctors could do nothing other than buddy tape and medicate the pain, but accupuncture and herbal medicine EXPEDITED MY HEALING. A month and a half later and I'm back on my feet.
No doctor, no psychologist, no counselor, no medical staff, no practicioner has ever made me feel as safe and hopeful and cared for as Rebecca has. From that first consultation, she was so generously caring and kind. I'm still in shock at how I feel now compared to how I felt coming in. Life's tough and it throws a lot us all, but I feel nourished from the inside out. It gave me the reset I didn't believe I could get. My experience here has brought me profound healing that's real and not dependent on medication or micromanagement. Coming here was the most deeply SUPPORTIVE thing I've ever experienced!! Whatever ailments may arise in the future, I'll be coming back to the Healing House and calling my friend Rebecca. Do yourself the favor and do the same.

Rebecca Wayne Mangum at The Healing house has been a game changer for me and my whole family. We all have sought out Chinese herbs for issues ranging from eczema, kidney stones, placenta previa, ear infections, croup, Staph.
I first reached out to Rebecca Magnum for Chinese acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to help me alleviate my symptoms of placenta previa. After doing weekly acupuncture appointments and taking the herbal formula throughout my pregnancy I delivered a healthy baby girl in October 2022.
Since then we have had help for both of our daughters for ear infections, croup, overall boosting immunity for my children during cold seasons. Rebecca has also treated me for my kidney stones providing Chinese herbs to help break them up. On my follow up ultrasound appointment, my doctor could not find any stones remaining. I have recently started taking the herbal formula again to help with strengthening my kidneys and keeping stones from reoccurring.
And lastly, working with my husband to help alleviate his symptoms of staph.

I needed a new acupuncturist and was referred to The Healing House of Alachua. I began community acupuncture with Rebecca who is smart, attentive and gentle. My work schedule changed, so I needed to change my acupuncture schedule and began to see Ashley. I was a bit nervous seeing someone new, but it was a perfect match. Ashley is knowledgeable, kind, down to earth and explains everything. She treats the whole person not just the pain and don't we all need that! One of her clients that I share my community acupuncture time with, is given the VIP treatment and it is beautiful to watch. They even offer a warming lamp for your toes if you need it 🙂
I also began seeing Savanah for massage a few months back and I will never stop seeing her. She is incredibly talented! I do not relax, ever and she had me falling asleep, unheard of. The massage is not just relaxing but she is able to work through my tense muscles and knots.
