Dr. LaPorta is a very experienced, compassionate and caring doctor who is sensitive to his patients needs. I am a very private person and feel very comfortable talking about anything. It is very refreshing to have a doctor who is passionate about what he does and actually wants to help his patients. He is also exceptional in working with children. Dr. LaPorta has extensive experience in helping clients but more important he is compassionate and listens. He helps his clients with a calm and steady presence, no matter how difficult or overwhelming the topic or frantic I felt I always knew 'Dr. Lou' would be there with a calm and encouraging word. Dr. Lou's support helped me to regain my life, to go from being a person dependent on disability to working full time, graduating college and pursuing a graduate degree. I've been going to the LaPorta Center for a few years now to help combat my social anxiety and agreeing to start seeing Dr. Laporta was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
