The staff are amazing. They always go above and beyond to make my family feel welcome. If anything is needed for the cabin, they bring it. ||||The younger man with the longer hair brought us our check in paperwork in the morning after we arrived late at night. I asked if they could bring by salt next time they were around these parts and quickly returned within minutes! They are so kind and helpful. I even left my purse at the lodge and Rasa brought it back to my cabin!||||I wish a little bit more care would be given to the grounds. The picnic tables need sanding and sealing every season, they're a bit rough and we have to sit on a towel to not get splinters. The handle in the shower is a bit loose. Little things like that could use some extra love.||||But in the end, we're here to enjoy the beautiful nature and are always made to feel welcome and cared for by the amazing staff ❤️

Great experience! 1st time camping with Idyllwild and had a great time!! Facility was very clean! Bathrooms & showers were clean and warm! Pool & Jacuzzi was closed since it’s already off season for it but was decent size area. Dog park was nice to have in the campsite. Staff was exceptional! Helpful and friendly and welcoming! Love that sites RV & tent sites have electricity and water hook ups! They also have full amenity cabins you can rent as well!! Will definitely come back to this location again!!

We love coming to this park! It’s quiet, beautiful and we always have such positive experiences with all of the staff. The park is not perfect but we have always felt so welcome and accommodated. The property manager, Jon, and his staff are really kind and do a great job of maintaining a high standard.

Thousand Trails is rare in that you are not able to book a site. I know this always makes me feel a bit nervous not knowing if we will find a spot for our size trailer. It is first come first serve and depending on the time of year you plan your trip you could be sadly disappointed with your options. There is also limited sites with sewer. With that said Thousand Trails Idylwild has still quickly become our favorite location so far with a relatively short travel time from LA and the beautiful mountain feel. There is well paved roads in most areas and it is great for walks or bike rides. We have met some great people and would recommend this location to those looking for much to enjoy on the camp site as well much to do in the town which is about 10 minutes from the location. On this trip we utilized the pool, went on family walks, and our little one enjoyed some time in at the children’s playground. A bench might be helpful for those parents wanting to sit and enjoy the view while the little ones run around.We did not go fishing but that is on our to do list for the next visit. Overall once you get past the check in process and secure your site you are in for some peaceful and beautiful time away from home. Happy Trailering 🙂

Perfect location, wonderful campground,l layout, and Joy on staff there made it even better! She was the light on our trip and really made it special.||Thousand Trails Idyllwild is our favorite Thousand Trails campground we’ve experienced so far. And the town is just quaint and amazing! Not spoiled by the world around at all! Highly recommend!!

The resort was very clean and well maintained. There are lots of restrooms and they were all heated! The staff was genuinely friendly and very helpful. There were plenty of sites available from RV, lodges, to tent sites. Definitely recommend this location.

Had some issues with the water which I understand it’s possible nothing they could have done about it except some preventative action but because of this we didn’t couldn’t use the water at any of the sites for the last few days we stayed there. Additionally I didn’t realize until I had multiple work and personal packages sent to the campground that they charge $10 per package delivered!! They let me know once I arrived and once they were already on the way. The $10 charge isn’t like they deliver the package to your site, you still have to drive to the front gate and grab it from them. Ridiculous charging for this.
I wouldn’t stay again because of this, I felt they blindsided me and honestly the guy at the welcome desk couldn’t care less.
The location is nice however but as others have mentioned the sites aren’t level in the slightest, be prepared to lean even w leveling.

Very old and needs work. Sites are uneven and eroded. Bathrooms are old and unsecured. Spa out of order. Not enough sites with sewer. Many sites where sewer is no longer working. Needs a lot of work.
